“Bali Flower Portraits” are created as gentle musings on the poetry of form within the plant kingdom, seeing the plants as sculptural entities in their own right.

Gm friends 🖤🍂 Drop day celebration!
‘Bali Flower Portraits - The poetry of form’ is a project merging my artist practice with my education in evolutionary botany.
16 plants collected, named and photographed in Bali during last year’s residency @BaliArtRes
The works draw inspiration from the 19th century photographer Karl Blossfeldt, as well as from the sepia tones of herbarium sheets, and celebrates the beauty and diversity of form and structure within the plant kingdom.
Drop opens 4pm CET today (Wednesday Oct.21)
16 digital 1/1s
0.1E
All funds will go towards funding the printing and framing of the physical works for my upcoming exhibition at Galleries Argenteus in Copenhagen, Nov. 20-Dec.22

In the Ginzburg–Landau medium, paint denser than a threshold grows towards full strength while fainter paint decays to zero.
Every stage between generations spreads paint out: diffusion in the medium, the transport trail, turbulence, and the measurement scattering strokes.
Spreading lowers density so once a region drops under the threshold, the next generation deletes it.

Gauge Orbit
A painting read as a quantum field and rebuilt by gauge physics. Every gauge choice gives a different picture of the same curvature, so one work can have endless variations.

They organise themselves into spirals, fronts and waves designed by no one.
Tipped slightly off balance, they become turbulent, constantly creating and destroying structure.

What if an artist used principles of quantum physics and gauge theory, the framework behind electromagnetism and the forces inside atoms, to transform a painting and make it come alive?
As if different versions existed in parallel universes?
New project coming soon ⏳
