Excited to be in Amsterdam next week for @hatchconference’s Leadership Ateliers where I’ll share learnings and practices on AI-Native Orgs.
Hint: It’s not just using a bunch of tools.
There are a few spots left and hope to see you there!

Check out Lenny’s latest ep with @jennywen discussing the topic of her talk last year ☀️
Design lead for Claude: The classic design process is dead.
Here's what's replacing it.
Jenny Wen (@jennywen) leads design for Claude at @AnthropicAI, was previously director of design at @Figma, and a designer at @Dropbox, @Square, and @Shopify.
In our in-depth conversation, we discuss:
🔸 Why the classic discovery → mock → iterate design process is becoming obsolete
🔸 What a day in the life of a designer at Anthropic looks like, including her AI tool stack
🔸 Whether AI will eventually surpass humans in taste and judgment
🔸 Why Jenny left a director role at Figma to return to IC work
🔸 The three archetypes Jenny is hiring for now
This conversation changed how I think about the future of design.

Thanks for the 285 proposals (even those 100 that came in the last 48h) submitted for this year!
We will carefully review (manually, without AI) and start contacting speakers in March.
The call is officially closed ✨
⏰ REMINDER: our call for proposals closes this friday.
If you want to speak or facilitate at this year’s Hatch, it’s the last chance.

Replying to @Flomerboy
Love to see this.
I built my career as a designer around the belief that a quick prototype/iteration loop can replace a complex design process. It's always been true but not every designer could work like that.... until now. @jennywen's talk at Hatch Conference is the most recent lightning rod for that conversation (see youtube.com/@hatchconference…) about how the industry will need to shift and how best to shift.
But IMO the more interesting conversation is about all the new considerations and constraints involved in designing AI products. I feel like I just grew two extra arms and am still learning to use them... while also designing tools that take advantage of them. So much to talk about!

As a Designer, you gotta know Hatch Conference
Insights from
→ Anthropic
→ Grammarly
→ Skyscanner
and many more other Design Leaders
With AI changing design process, feedback & iteration cycles-- these conferences helps to get a better picture on the long term view of Design industry.
Some of key insights I learned through these conferences:
🎯 1. The Design Process Isn’t Sacred — It’s Evolving
Jenny Wen (Design Lead at Anthropic) argued that following the Double Diamond or filling out "How Might We" statements has become a safety net that often bypasses actual thinking.
🎯 2. Move from "Design Thinking" to "Design Judgment"
With AI able to generate prototypes and variations in seconds, the value of a designer is shifting from execution to evaluation. The insight here is that when execution becomes cheap, your "taste" and "judgment" are the only things that scale.
🎯 3. "Mise en Place" for Design Workflows (Grammarly)
Collin Whitehead (VP of Design at Grammarly) highlighted that designer burnout often isn't about the craft—it’s about broken processes.
🎯 4. AI as a "Sincerity" Tool, Not Just a Productivity Tool (Loom)
Christina Nguyen White (VP of Design at Loom) brought a human-centric angle to the AI debate. Instead of just using AI to do things faster, we should use it to remove "communication noise." AI can handle the "etiquette" and administrative friction of collaboration, allowing designers to focus on sharing their true intent and building psychological safety within teams.

This is an awesome talk
this talk was the first i did that was really polarizing. that was... kind of the point though!
to me it shows a bifurcation in the industry — it was either a confirmation of something you were already feeling, or a new, deeply uncomfortable thing.

As products are getting faster to build, there’s less time now to run the “perfect” process. Great designers know how to balance:
🔹 Insights from data
🔹 Intuition built on experience. Together, they allow us to move fast & stay creative.
