On this date in history, the world met Johnny Lawrence — riding on his Honda XL 600R, wearing that iconic snake patch, representing the most badass dojo in the Valley — Cobra Kai Karate. Moments later, he spotted a punk from New Jersey flirting with his girl down on the beach and an epic rivalry was born. Forty years later, it remains this Jersey punk’s greatest honor to continue telling Johnny and Daniel’s stories alongside @healdrules, @McSchlossberg, our talented team, our amazing cast, and of course the legends — @ralphmacchio, @WilliamZabka, and @MartinKove. On July 18th, the saga continues on @netflix, with more fun to follow on Thanksgiving, and again next year. When it’s all said and done, that beach skirmish will have been responsible for 65 episodes of television. Dying for you to see how this story ends. And looking forward to where the Miyagiverse will take us next! @CobraKaiSeries @KarateKidMovie #karatekid #cobrakai #cobrakaineverdies
