🚨 Ireland wants to ban vape flavours.
Under a new bill, only two flavours survive: "Tobacco" and "Unflavoured.
Greece and Italy have now filed formal objections through the @EU_Commission's TRIS system, warning the rules create illegal barriers to trade in the single market.
Denmark already ran this experiment. Since it banned most flavours in 2022, youth vaping has gone UP and adults simply buy the banned flavours from the illicit market instead.
Yale research shows adults using non-tobacco flavours are more likely to quit smoking altogether.
Dr @DelonHuman7, leader of Smoke Free Sweden: "Poorly designed restrictions simply strengthen the markets for cigarettes and illicit nicotine products."
