Making Money With BOTH a Junk Removal Business + Social Media (Full video link in bio)
Sunday thought: I spent years building the business.
Turns out getting ready to leave it was its own job.
Nobody warned me. Lol
Still kicking around this idea: a small, no-pitch get-together for East Texas and Dallas-area owners who are starting to think about exit.
10–20 people, real stories. If that sounds good to you, reply and tell me which town works.
Every shop owner has a drawer with one bolt from 1998 that nobody will throw away, because "we might need it."
Hell yeah we might. Lol

$150 to $400 an hour to erase rust with what looks like a laser pointer.
You can make back the cost of the machine after a handful of jobs.
Businesses pay for it because their equipment looks brand new in minutes.
Pretty cool business.

At 59 this guy got fired from a six figure corporate sales job.
He started restoring and hand painting old business signs on Cape Cod.
Under $100 to start because he already owned the tools.
Month one he did $4,000 at 90% profit. Five months in, he passed $16K in a single month at about 80% margins.
Here's how he finds the work:

This is great! Now I can consume whatever I want and stay healthy.
The 55 lbs I lost 2 years ago because my knee had developed painful swelling were all in my imagination, and I can tell my brother that his diabetes will be unaffected by his weight, which he has been trying to control.
Thank you @MikhailaFuller for freeing me from this unnecessary and ridiculous responsibility to link my health to my junk food consumption!

None of this matters if the system isn't code compliant.
We worked with Intertek to test and certify that our building system meets all code requirements.
Not only did we meet the requirements, our structural system outperformed standard 2x4 construction in every way. Here's a video of our axial load test where our wall supported a load 8x greater than that of a standard 2x4 wall.

This new building system enables our crews to install an entire story of a home in under 6 hours.
Eliminating onsite labor is one of the best ways to reduce the cost of a home. That's why we're focused on moving as much as possible off the construction site and into the factory.

Ross Perot Jr., Chairman of Hillwood and The Perot Group, didn't set out to be a developer.
"Pure land speculation. I was just a land investor."
He started with 2,500 acres in north Fort Worth and planned to sell sites to other developers. Then the market fell apart and nobody was buying.
"We were forced to become developers."
In this clip, Ross explains how a land bet turned into AllianceTexas, and what that downturn taught him about risk.
