Hoy for Mac lands this week: heyiam.dk/hoy
it’s like a walkie-talkie, AirDrop and Messages had a baby.
Hoy 1.0 for Mac lands next week. no sign-up, no third party, just iCloud!
in the meantime, the pre-release (nowhere near 1.0, but enough to get the idea): gethoy.app
redesigned trymonocle.app with one rule: no jibber jabber.
no wordy features section. just a demo you can play with, the app’s own control panel and the people who use it doing the talking.
and as always, there’s an easter egg hiding somewhere! 👀
Made a silly little project, a friendly reply to all the copycats: postedfirst.com
Why?
You spend months building something.
You share it.
The next day someone remakes it with a couple of prompts, posts it louder, and tells you to stop whining.
It's not about whining.
It's about the lack of a moral compass.
There's not much to do about that, but we can still appreciate the original idea.
Paste the look-alike posts, X's own clock lines them up on a simple timeline, and you give whoever posted first their kudos.
That's it.
This one's for @terkelg, @hewad_mubariz, and everyone it's ever happened to.
It's almost empty on purpose, so go ahead and show us who deserves the kudos! 👏
PS: Keep it fair and relevant!
Made this little interaction 2 years ago. I think it's still one of the best 0.4 seconds I've ever designed (sound on)

Hoy for Mac lands this week: heyiam.dk/hoy
every now and then something lands in my inbox that makes it all worth it.
let me share one from time to time here:
Monocle 3.5 is out
heyiam.dk/monocle
Btw, I hid an easter egg on the website for 50% OFF on the license
working on the little things today.
monocle's settings now fade gently at the edges while you scroll.
my screen is always a mess. so i made it so one shake of the cursor clears everything but the task.
dropping monday btw.
name a prettier way to focus on mac.
monocle 3.1 lands monday. app groups + stage manager + a lot more.
since a lot of you asked for the wallpapers
(AI-generated slop, you’ve been warned)
Get them free here: iamdk.gumroad.com/l/goldem-h…
What if macOS Stage Manager, Spaces, CMD+Tab, and the Dock were one unified system?
