Soon content takes me back to peak VICE / Motherboard days. More of this @patrickmcguire and team.
We've been on the road reporting on how small towns in America are being affected by AI. From a town with a single Flock camera in Upstate NY... to a Mormon community of 4,000 in Utah bracing for the world's biggest data center. Here's a preview of what's coming up from Soon.

I’d pay for some kind of A24 subscription just to wait for their next film vs. Netflix always on.
If I were Netflix, I would hire whoever is greenlighting and acquiring films at A24. Talk about a studio that knows how to keep budgets under control, generate buzz, and get multiple films into the awards conversation every single year.

Favorite part of our board meeting: case study of a Fortune 100 who we are saving $21m in legal fees. In-house autonomous legal beats AI law firms, because it can connect much deeper into the connective tissue of a company: Finance systems, HR systems, and beyond.
Spellbook is saving a Fortune 100 company $21 m in outside counsel legal fees with autonomous contracting. Want to save wasted $$$ on legal costs instead of buying software? spellbook.com/reduce-outside…

$5.5M opening day of ‘You Can See Everything’ 👏 Big congrats to David Bolan the mastermind behind the camera. I had the pleasure to do some verite doc work with him in the Florida Keys for Shopify and it was incredible to watch him shape and craft a shot with minimal tools.

Lessons from @elonmusk and Mark Zuckerberg and Napoleon: “Elon has demonstrated that if you have a small, incredibly cracked, highly technical team, that's very flat, you can accomplish a lot very quickly.” “Mark has internalized that failure doesn't matter. It just matters when you win, how big you win.” “That concept enables Mark to operate without fear because he’s just very comfortable taking lots of risk.” “Mark has this great quote that says: The biggest risk is not taking any risk. In a world that's changing the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.” “In the book The Mind of Napoleon, Napoleon repeats that hesitation is fatal. Napoleon says before you engage in a course of action you should deliberate thoroughly. He'd study from every angle to make sure he's making the right decision. But once he’s sure he’s on the right path, he goes all in. I feel there's an echo with the way Mark operates. Once Mark knows what he wants to do, he empties the clip.”

Always fun working with creative and product to shine some magic on the incredible impact that ACM is going to bring to lawyers. This team listens to feedback, and builds relentlessly.
Spellbook's Autonomous Contract Management is now in GA! It's the first end-to-end AI system for contracts. It reviews before you sit down, drives approvals, storage and longterm insight. One step closer to building the earth's infrastructure for contracts.

What I appreciate about @chefbrent over at OpenAI is he’s building in public. That’s a true builder imo 👊
If we use locked-off tripod shots it's "sterile" or "boring" or "corporate". If we use a real handheld camera shot to add energy and authenticity then it's "fake shake". What's everyone's preference here? We often have a mix in this style of video.

It takes 5,000+ contracts to launch a rocket. @SpellbookLegal exists to streamline that massive workload, so that we can launch more rockets.
