If you schooled in Ijagun around 2010-12, you'd know a character like this. His name is Doyin.
The first time he stopped me in school and asked me to bring my phone, as a fresher I was this 👌 close to telling him to fvck off because he was very small but for some unknown reasons, I was calm. I'm just kidding the only reason why I didn't tell him that was because my mum was actively praying back at home.
He told me to forget about my phone but I Playfully told him that phone(Sony ericsson) was too small for him. I offered to give him all the 1300 Naira I had on me instead but he laughed at me and told me to go away with my pocket change.
After a few minutes of begging he gave me back my phone and complimented my fashion sense and jovial spirit.
I left, not knowing who I had just encountered and what I had just survived.
Later that evening, on my way to imaweje to visit a friend, I ran into him and some other guys on that route. They had a sack full of phones with them and Doyin was relaxing under a shed with ondè(fortified traditional necklace) around his neck, dripping with God knows the blood of which animal.
When it was time to submit my phone, he recognized me and playfully said "Ore mi oni cybershot), I was visibly trembling. He told them to let me go as I was his new friend but they collected everyone else's phones.
Omo I turned and ran back to my hostel.
Got home and explained my experience to everyone, that was when I realized who I had just encountered. He was the number 2 captain for Westham team ⚔️😂.
I avoided him till the end of that semester, till I heard he was sent to prison in 2012.
“Burna Boy begged Davido to let us join him on his private jet when we were going to perform our song ‘Temper’ in Yola. The jet was so full that Davido had to ask one of his team member to leave, and someone even had to sit on the toilet sit because there was no space.”

My wife did small chops for my colleague and she was to bring it to my office by 12 because his child’s naming was 4pm.
Her: I will not enter your office, you’ll come and pick from me by the road and I’ll leave.
Me: okay. No problem
Her: so you don’t want me to enter your office?

Two interesting things I discovered this week are:
1. That you can get genuine court affidavits online from the Nigerian Federal High Court. A genuine one, not the ones those roadside people give you.
The website has all sorts of affidavits, even ones I didn't know existed.
2. The National Population Commission has a working portal. You can register your newborn online and get a certified birth certificate that is accepted worldwide.
You can do all these things without any bureaucracy.
