Existing editors supports Dhivehi but it was never intuitive for me, so I cooked an open source editor that catered for my skill issue.
liyun contains templates of Dhivehi documents (letter, invoice, etc) and it also contains Dhivehi spell checker

🚨🇺🇸 One hacked employee laptop just cost Binance an estimated $6.3 billion, the biggest crypto theft on record
Binance says attackers likely got in through a compromised DevOps engineer's laptop and pushed through unauthorized withdrawals, and it has frozen deposits and withdrawals while it investigates and promised to cover every customer's loss.
About $3 billion has been frozen so far, most of it in stablecoins after Tether and Circle locked the tokens within hours, but roughly $2.4 billion in bitcoin and ether is still in the attacker's wallets, and those have no company that can hit pause.
Bitcoin dropped more than 4% to under $78,000. The previous record, the Bybit hack in 2025, was $1.5 billion.
The lesson is uncomfortable for an industry that sells itself as unhackable: the money that could be stopped was the money controlled by a company, and the money that got away was the part nobody controls.
Getting it back now depends on the thieves trying to cash out through an exchange that cooperates, which can take months or years.

“Likes of these people”? You mean the Ministry and Dr. Adam Shameem? Your choice of that phrase says everything about your distaste for Islam and its Book.
Let’s not refer to socio-political elites from Maumoon and Nasir eras as our “ancestors.” Tourism began not too long ago in 1972, and even they understood the importance of keeping it separate from our communities through the one-island-one-resort model.
People have written extensively about how tourism mixing with local island life has affected our Dhivehi culture and Islamic identity. Just look at Maafushi. I’ve shared headlines from recent years, and there are plenty more.
But none of that seems to concern you. As long as the money keeps flowing, the erosion of our religion, culture and national identity is apparently a price worth paying. Your position is no different from that of Anni.
Your ignorance of local issues in a senior MoT role clearly shows how your consuming greed has blinded you with arrogance.
And this “progressiveness” you keep promoting? We’ve seen where it leads. Clubbing, partying, alcohol and indecency becoming normalised on Muslim land. Look at what’s happening across the Gulf, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE. And what happens to the Ulama who speak against these changes? Jailed. Like Shumba arrogantly promoted.
It’s a familiar pattern. Normalise indecency, feed people’s greed, make them dependent on wealth like an addiction, and slowly weaken their attachment to Islam.
This is exactly what we stand against. And I believe many of the original PPM & PNC members stood against it too.
Your position reminds me of the warning in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:85):
“Do you believe in some of the Scripture and reject the rest?”
Our Rizq comes from Allah. Not Alabbar, not the Gulf states, and certainly not some so-called investor promising to solve all our problems.
That’s our faith and belief. And from everything you’ve said, it’s clear that you don’t share that belief.

والله أعلم
Our ancestors were more progressive than the likes of these people.
Had they employed this kind of logic, Maldives tourism would have never kicked off.
Where would we be today if we didn’t capitalize on tourism? And did it affect our Islamic beliefs and values? The answer is no.
RasMale’s concept of tourism will be no different.

Update
Addu Drug Lord Ali Nadheem (Bisexual Milo Nadhama) has just been promoted to WAMCO Manager post to make it easier to conduct his drug trade in Addu. He and his team use WAMCO vehicles to carry and transport drugs. Just imagine how corrupt Maldives is. It was just last year police arrested him and his network for drugs trafficking, smuggling and money laundering. When he was arrested in Dec 2025 under Appathurey’s Operation Ali Magu, police said they had been tracking and investigating him and his network since March 2025 and that their investigation found that they had been involved in drug trade. They also said they had known about their drug activities since 2017.
Following the arrest, Appathurey also very proudly said there won’t be any “Rahum”, “Hamdharudhed” and “Isthisnaa” for anyone involved in drug trade. Yes, he really said there won’t be any sympathy or exemption for any drug trader.
Then what happened was, during council election, Appathurey and Muizzu released him after he paid them and PNC. I tweeted this before his release, and after too. People talked about it when he was released but they forgot about him later.
So since April 2026, he’s been slowly resuming his drug activities and finding new ways to do it. Previously he used minors a lot to transport drugs. Using WAMCO vehicles is his newest method cause police won’t check gov SOE vehicles, it’s like carrying drugs in vehicles with diplomatic immunity. Now that he’s a manager at WAMCO, he’ll have more powers and influence over there. The best part is, they made him a manager at security division. It’s like literally handing the keys of WAMCO properties and assets to him.
We as a country are fucked. Someone who was arrested for drug trade is now made a manager at an SOE in less than a year. Police arrests of people and court rulings on people who are connected to the ruling party PNC - those arrests mean nothing, those court verdicts don’t mean much. It has no value. Cause now we know they could be back, out on the streets in less than a year.
In other words, police arrest them, keep them in prison, feed them well, look after them, provide them free accommodation - all from taxpayer money - and then release them back to the society when they pay PNC, Home Minister and Muizzu. That’s literally how it works. This is the reason why Thinadhu rapist (the half Indian guy) was smiling in the mug shot. He knew / he knows he’ll be in prison only for a few months. He knows when he pays PNC, he’ll be released in a couple of months and PG will say insufficient evidence to prosecute him.
Drug lords, gangsters and rapists have no fear. They know the system better than us ordinary people. They know who exactly to call and pay. They’re not worried about police arrests, not at all.
Most of the time, people don’t even know about these cases. They (including journalists) only know when someone tweets. Everything is failing in Maldives. Most journalists are also now in PNC pocket. But don’t give up, that’s my advice. It’s us who can change things too.

Between 2023 and 2026, Maldivian taxpayers have paid former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih 9,545,599.18 in former presidential allowances.
That is approximately 6,534 every single day for 4 years straight.
As a country, we need to start a serious debate about this.
It is not that we believe former presidents should receive no allowances. Rather, how much we pay, how we determine those amounts, and how long we continue paying them must reflect the economic realities of the Maldives.
After MPs’ salaries, the next petition should address former presidents’ allowances and benefits. It’s time to start this debate.
Taxpayers have paid so far
Maumoon: 72 million
Nasheed: 43 million
Waheed: 25 million
Yameen: 9 million
Solih: 10 million
Total: 159 million.
These payments will continue, and future former presidents will become eligible too.
As a nation, we must ask, can we afford this? Are these allowances proportionate to our economic reality, national income and the living standards of ordinary Maldivians?
Public money should reflect public priorities.

If i were you and receiving responses from people calling me a “manwhore” and “sellout”, i would shut up from shame. I would realize i had no leg to stand on or credibility in anyway.
But thats just me. Maybe others have a higher level of shamelessness?
When ADFD rebuilt mosques, paved runways, or sent medical aid, no political actor claimed Emirati ties compromised Islamic solidarity. Invoking Zionism now is not born of principled advocacy for Palestine; it is a calculated effort to provoke public backlash and score domestic political points.
When high-profile investments like Eagle Hills are dragged through local courts, partisan media, and anti-corruption weaponization for political expediency, the message sent abroad is clear.
“The Maldives is happy to take sovereign handouts, but hostile to commercial partnerships.”

For months, thalassaemia patients have been struggling to get their essential iron chelation medicines. Every time supplies run out, we are given barely two weeks’ worth and told to wait again. “A shipment is coming.” “It’s on the way.” “It will arrive soon.” Yet the shortages continue.
These are not medicines we take occasionally. We need them every day, for the rest of our lives. We cannot put our illness on hold until the next shipment arrives.
And this is not just a thalassaemia problem. We recognize that medicine shortages are affecting people across the Maldives, especially those living with chronic illnesses who depend on lifelong medication and regular injections.
Patients needing treatment for osteoporosis, hormonal deficiencies, and other complications have also gone eight months or longer without essential medicines. Some manage to secure a month's supply, only to face months of uncertainty again. Interrupting certain treatments can have serious, lasting consequences. This is not merely an inconvenience; it puts people's health at risk.
We understand that establishing a new state pharmaceutical system comes with challenges. But how long can the same excuses continue? State Pharma was meant to ensure access to essential medicines. Patients deserve more than shipment announcements and empty promises. They deserve a system that delivers.
And here's what makes this even harder to accept: Parliament’s Finance Committee reportedly took just 82 minutes to approve MVR 39.5 million in annual pay rises and allowances for senior officials and over 600 island councillors. When it comes to their own salaries and benefits, decisions move fast. When it comes to patients waiting months for essential medicines, suddenly everything takes time.
If MPs cite struggling constituents to justify higher salaries, shouldn't we ask why people must turn to politicians for help with basic healthcare in the first place?
We are not asking for luxuries. We are asking for the medicines our lives and health depend on.
And to those responsible: if you cannot even ensure that people have access to essential medicines, do the country a favor and resign. Go home. If you're not willing to do that, then stop making excuses, get your act together, and do the job you're being paid to do. The public didn't elect you to make promises. They elected you to deliver.
Enough promises. Enough excuses. Patients need their medicines, not another announcement that they're on the way.
