after having been a woman in the gaming community and the comic community i can def say in the modern era the comic fandom space is way more hostile to women and that’s saying something considering how gaming has treated women gaming has a long way to go but it has come a long way in terms of including women in the conversation and the space in my experience from online play as a child to now. the comic community literally sends me death and rape threats in my mentions and dms because i didn’t wear my lantern ring on the right finger because it’s too big. it’s frustrating being a girl and just wanting to enjoy your art and escapism and video games and being met with so many insecure people who want to make you feel small if you’re not the perfect fan or even just a *gasp* woman

you guys are insane if you don’t realize how painful it is to deal with issues reeves is. eventually everyone gets hit by real life shit that changes the way you perceive pain and valuing your family and those close to you please leave him alone 😭 whatever happens, happens.

really hope reeves is ok. im hoping this was maybe a pre-emptive thing planned and that’s why they moved the release date to feb 2028 just in case of this. sitting on some things that are starting to make sense universe wise, but we’ll see what ultimately ends up happening.
