Banning hijabs and turbans from elementary schools is absolutely fucking crazy. Like fucking insane...
Quebec intends to ban religious symbols such as hijabs or turbans in elementary schools. Education Minister Joël Arseneau: "It's non-negotiable, this is what we were elected to do."

It is very hard to share an opinion politically-neutral in thought after the last 8+ years, but good lord, whether you're a democrat or a republican, having the leader of the USA talk like this to someone, & at the camera knowing it'll be broadcast nationally is so effing gross.
“You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell.” — 😳 a demented Trump snaps at a reporter who asks him if he’s too unwell to go to Kansas on Saturday

On Monday, Ontario Liberals are forcing a vote in committee that would call on the auditor general to do a full forensic audit of OSAP. The Ford Conservatives will likely argue that KPMG is already conducting an audit. But there’s one major difference: KPMG’s findings may never be made public. An Auditor General’s report would be publicly released. Ontarians deserve to know where their money went, what went wrong, and who is responsible. The Ford Conservatives have a choice to make on Monday: transparency or secrecy. #onpoli @OntLiberal @LFairclo

In Stan Cho math, that’s 800,000 nights in hotel rooms. Why won’t @fordnation @PaulCalandra fund our schools properly? Ontario kids, education workers, and teachers, deserve so much better. #onted #onpoli
In March, Ford budgeted $40.8B for education. Seven months later? $40.2B. $600 MILLION less than planned. Classrooms are overcrowded. Supports are disappearing. Education workers are losing jobs. Ford calls it a plan. I call it abandoning students. Where did the money go? #onted

🚨 BREAKING 🚨 Another Ford bombshell Conservative MPP caught in cash for access scandal. Lobbyist Mr. X organized a $25,000 fundraiser for Conservative MPP Laurie Scott. In exchange, she helped the lobbyist override planning laws for one of his developer clients. #onpoli #greenbeltscandal
NEW: Ontario's integrity commissioner obtained many months of text messages between PC MPP Laurie Scott & John Mutton (aka Mr. X). The texts show the pair building rapport around 2 efforts: getting special zoning approvals for his clients & helping her political fundraising.

NEW TODAY: The Ford government plans to spend billions more this year — but not on sectors that say they desperately need it, like health care and education. Ontario’s fall economic statement sets aside $3.8 billion in a contingency fund, more than double what was budgeted in March, to provide "fiscal flexibility" amid ongoing economic uncertainty. The province is also projecting a $16.9 billion deficit, and has pushed back its timeline to balance the books.

Oh the irony? John Brassard went to Algonquin College where he studied "broadcasting". That's it folks. A 6 months community college program in "broadcasting". This is the twit that is criticising a woman with a Doctorate and Five degrees from Universities in UK, USA and Canada.

My reaction to Minister Quinn in Question Period today. His pre-written talking points aren’t doing it for me. I’m not buying what he’s trying to sell, and neither should you. Years of warnings about alleged OSAP fraud. Hundreds of millions in questionable funding. Thousands of students now cut off from OSAP. Students deserve accountability, not rehearsed lines. #onpoli

Don’t believe Minister Quinn. He keeps saying OSAP has been cut off because of these “very serious allegations”. He’s known about this since 2023. He did nothing. He allowed hundreds of millions to flow to a handful of private colleges who’ve now been referred to the OPP for potential fraud. Restore OSAP. Reverse the grant cuts. Resign. #onpoli

"Can you explain why this member is getting a promotion after he ripped off the people of this province?" On the first day of the fall sitting, Premier Ford dodges questions about why Stan Cho, who resigned from cabinet this summer after charging taxpayers for local hotel stays, has been promoted to an education role with a $22K pay bump.

First they used the notwithstanding clause to override fundamental human rights. Next they came for library books. Now they are banning Pride flags. This is not how democracies operate.

Two Alberta doctors and an Alberta lawyer break down just how stupid Premier Smith's idea is tax newcomers for social services. Just for reference - in Calgary immigrants comprise 7 of 10 nurse aides, orderlies and patient attendants. @HealthyDebate healthydebate.ca/2026/10/abo…

In the Mayoral debate Brad Bradford just brought up Ontario Place & how Chow couldn’t stop Ford. Bradford didn’t say *a single word* in defence of Ontario Place when it was under attack & worse than that had StrategyCorp lobbyists on his team who are part of Team Therme! #topoli

Seriously? Stan's back...and with a raise? At the same time as hard working teachers, custodians and education workers are on month 3 of an expired contract, with no talks planned, just games from @PaulCalandra?!! This govt is a total disgrace. Shame! #onted #onpoli
This is great news for five star hotels, but terrible news for taxpayers. Doug Ford can’t help himself from wasting your money. Stan’s new $22,501 salary bump is going to come out of your tax dollars, and you can’t afford more of this nonsense. respectfortaxpayers.ca

No other MPP involved in the spending scandal faced any consequences. There’s no evidence the 2 who claimed to pay back their hotel expenses did. This govt took over 8 school boards claiming they can better manage their finances. Nope. They are allergic to accountability.#onted

Trump: "We've given more money to Ukraine than almost anybody over the years, hundreds of billions of dollars. We've got nothing back other than high diesel. American taxpayers are tired of it." The US hasn't provided aid to Ukraine since Trump took office. Instead, they SELL military equipment to NATO allies, who then transfer it to Ukraine. And by the way, the US is currently withholding lifesaving air defense missiles that our allies have already paid for!
