🚨 iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 may freeze your iPhone or iPad when you interact with the Bluetooth button in Control Center! A couple of days back, I tried to disconnect my AirPods from my iPad (iPad Pro, 12.9-inch, 6th generation) by tapping the Bluetooth control in Control Center. It froze! And the screen became unresponsive. Holding the top + volume up buttons to restart didn’t work. My iPad remained stuck for nearly 5 minutes. And then, it automatically soft-booted (displaying the spinning wheel icon). Thereafter, everything returned to normal, and there was no loss of data. I thought this happened because I’m running iPadOS 26 developer beta, and such things are expected. Strangely, the exact same thing happened with my wife’s iPhone 16 yesterday, running iOS 26 non-beta. Her iPhone froze when she tried to connect her non-Apple wireless earphones from Control Center. After 10 minutes, the device soft-booted automatically. If this happens to you, too, simply leave the device untouched for a few minutes, and it should return to normal.
