Diomande has worked so hard to make the left side of Real Madrid’s attack his own. Man has grabbed the opportunity (with Vini suspended) with both hands.
He hasn’t even let the price tag weigh him down. Goes about his business without any pressure whatsoever.
Money well spent. 👏
Nigeria have no business losing 3-0 to Guinea Bissau. Gives them advantage in the group where only one team qualifies for the AFCON.
You can excuse the Super Eagles because of the terrible pitch but the overall performance was really bad.
The strikers who started never looked threatening at any point, Infact Ilenikhena looked more threatening and he spent only 15 minutes on the pitch.
Nigeria somehow have to win all their remaining games in this group and then spank Guinea Bissau silly too when they visit Uyo.
Terrible performance from Eric Chelle ‘s team. Very poor display. #GNBNGA
There’s a reason why Okocha is the MOST POPULAR sports person to ever come out of Nigeria even though he retired almost 20 years ago and even though he never played for the biggest clubs in Europe.
There’s a reason why fans of EVERY club he played for in Europe love and adore him till this very day.
There’s a reason why when FIFA are inviting football legends for an event he’s the only Nigerian that gets the privilege of being in the mix (until Mikel Obi joined that exclusive list in recent years).
There’s a reason why when you are abroad in some of the most unpopular destinations, the locals who know you are Nigerian will bring up a conversation and the one name that pops up is Jay Jay Okocha (until maybe Burna Boy in recent years).
There’s a reason he was given Turkish citizenship despite spending ONLY TWO years in the country.
There’s a reason why football legends around the world including Arsenal’s Ian Wright especially doesn’t stop talking about what a special talent Okocha was.
There’s a reason why 20 years since he retired from the Super Eagles, every young midfielder is still compared to him and most people believe a replacement has still not been found for Austin Okocha till today.
He may not have won much in Europe but he was a special and magical - a pure joy to watch play and entertain.
ONE OF ONE - they don’t make them like Jay Jay anymore.
Okon, these 2 facts can co-exist in the mind of the circumcised.
1.) Okocha was an entertainer, arguably the best in his time, but was less ambitious. Made ppl fall in love with the game. No doubt.
2.) Ronaldinho had more impact on wining games & trophies than Okocha.
Simple.
This Okocha argument makes me understand why the really old folks get upset when people compare Messi & Ronaldo them to Pele. They saw Pele play live and know what type of magician he was. Same with those who watched Okocha, they know a proper entertainer that will make you fall in love with football if you aren’t a football fan.
I am seeing some kind of takes on Okocha and my blood is boiling. I just keep my phone down and do something else so I don’t get upset and smash the phone on the floor. 🤣🤣
Stats have really ruined football. 😭😭

Messi vs Ronaldo debate wasn’t even my most interesting part of the interview with Mikel. It was when Okocha said because he was so good and loved by the fans at Fenerbahce, it became a problem to leave when PSG came calling.
He had to stop training and “ran away” to be able to move to France.
Once he said that I just said the kind of love Galatasaray and its fans have for Osimhen, it’s going to take God’s intervention for him to be able to leave Turkey because Jay Jay said the fans there don’t play.
I just concluded that yea, Victor Osimhen will most likely retire in Gala at this rate.
Arsenal are even better than they were last season. With Pep Guardiola leaving, that Manchester City threat looks gone & Arteta has strengthen in depth. #ARSMCI
It’s going to be really hard to stop Arsenal from winning everything available in England this season. Quality everywhere. 🔥
Christos Tzolis had 23 assists last season for Club Brugge and in his first official game for Arsenal he has had 2 assists in less than 50 minutes against Manchester City. 👏#ARSMCI #CommunityShield
He was signed for only £34m & if he manages to produce anything like those type of numbers, he’s going to have a shout for signing of the season. 🔥
Arsenal look dangerous every single time they go forward against Manchester City. It’s difficult everytime for the City defenders to cope with Havertz, Madueke & Tzolis. #ARSMCI #CommunityShield
They are dominating and still have Saka, Gyokores, Zubimendi & Saliba not in action. Arteta has quietly built a super team.
When Davido is passionate about something, he doesn’t hide it and it’s very obvious in his actions.
Man is passionate about family and is ready to go to war for them. He’s passionate about music and that’s why he’s been around for 15+ years and he’s very passionate about politics; and with his family’s history too, it’s hard not to see him going into politics full time at some point in his life.
Joao Pedro looks like he’s going to be in the mood this season - another 2 goals against Real Sociedad. He’s had a good preseason & Alonso trusts him to lead the line. #CHERSO
Morgan Rogers, Joao Pedro & Cole Palmer front 3 for Chelsea could be a handful for any defence on their day. 🔥
Ryan Alebiosu is such a talented right back & he’s very highly rated in the championship - you can see why as he’s had good crosses & runs down the flank against Wolves this evening. #WOLBLA
It’s going to be really difficult for Blackburn to keep him beyond this season. 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 🇳🇬
