Adam Carolla sparks controversy after arguing that immigrants should assimilate into American culture instead of recreating their home countries in the United States.
Adam Carolla: “Your country’s a piece of shit and that’s why you’re here. So your plan to convert here into a little slice of your country is a bad plan.”
“The better plan would be to assimilate and join in, otherwise you’re going to have a little piece of Somalia in Minnesota, and Somalia is a piece of shit. So you don’t want that.”

Tom Bergeron reveals Whoopi Goldberg helped him land a role on Star Trek: Enterprise without ever seeing him act.
Tom recalled visiting the Enterprise set with Whoopi Goldberg after producer Rick Berman invited them over during a meal break.
They arrived while the cast was filming a bridge scene, and everyone stopped to greet Whoopi.
As they walked through the sets, Tom started explaining the show’s storyline because he was already a fan.
Then Rick turned to him.
Tom Bergeron: “Rick turns to me and goes, ‘You watched the show?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I do.’ Then he goes, ‘You want to be on it?’”
And he turns to Whoopi “Can he act?”
Whoopi had never actually seen Tom act. She had only seen him hosting and improvising.
Tom Bergeron: “She goes, ‘He’s good.’”
About a month later, Tom got the call.
Tom Bergeron: “I thought I was going to be a Klingon in the background or something.”
Instead, he landed the role of Demar, an alien trader, in the first-season episode Oasis.

76,846 handwritten result sheets are uploaded after every Nigerian election.
but let's be honest, how many people actually go through them?
i decided to build something that does.
it's called recount.
it uses @Meta muse spark to read every result sheet, check the figures against the numbers written in words, and flag anything that doesn't add up.
and it doesn't just flag issues blindly. when something looks off, muse spark takes another look to avoid mistakes caused by smudges or poor handwriting.
you can even upload a result sheet someone forwards to you on whatsapp, and recount will compare it with INEC's original.
i tested it against the osun election results, and the total came within 0.11% of INEC's declared figure.
the bigger idea is simple: make it harder to manipulate election results without anyone noticing. when every result sheet can be independently checked, there's less room for discrepancies to go unnoticed.
recount isn't here to declare winners. it's here to help protect the integrity of the process by making sure every sheet gets read and accounted for before 16 january 2027.
built for the @AIatMeta & @MetaforDevs indie developer track.

Matt Jones reveals what it was really like filming his final scene on Breaking Bad, sitting beside Bryan Cranston without knowing the significance of what was happening.
Matt Jones: "My favorite scene though, on that show that I was in, was definitely uh sitting in the back seat in the finale."
Joe Vulpis: “With the laser pointers?”
Matt Jones: “It wasn’t the laser pointer thing. It was just the gravity of that moment, sitting in the back seat in a tiny car, with just me, Charles and Bryan, and feeling the weight of Heisenberg’s life being over.”
“I didn’t know what was happening in the episode. I had no idea what was happening. All I got was one page or two pages. That was our scene. That’s all we knew.”
“We were just like, ‘Oh my God, something crazy must have just happened.’ We have no idea.”
