Introducing Ideogram 4.5, the most precise edit model.
With each edit, leading models add artifacts, pixel shifts, and color changes. Ideogram 4.5 eliminates artifact buildup, making multi-turn editing possible.
Live in Ideogram, the API, and launch partners. Open weights soon.
Ideogram 4.5 was built for real edits, not benchmarks. Fixing anatomy issues, cleaning up spelling errors, and editing turn after turn without artifacts building up. Thanks for the SS tier. 🙌
I broke 11 images on purpose (extra hands, a third leg, the same person twice, seven fingers, too many sunglasses and lots of typos) and gave them to 7 AI image editors to fix: Krea 3, GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana 2, Seedream 5, Flux 3, @grok Imagine and @ideogram_ai 4.5. Same image, same prompt, one try each.
Do you agree with the tier list? Which image editor are you using, and what should I test next? Tell me in the comments. TIER LIST: SS Ideogram 4.5 | S GPT Image 2.5, Grok Imagine | A Flux 3 | B Krea 3, Seedream 5 | C Nano Banana 2
Excited to share that Ideogram 4.5 very low pushes the Pareto frontier for image editing on both price and speed, according to @DesignArena.
Every edit model rated higher costs more and runs slower. No artifact buildup, edit after edit.
Native 2K. 0.8¢ per image. 8s per edit.
Multi-turn editing at every price point. Ideogram 4.5 comes in four quality modes, from 0.8¢ to 22¢ per image, all at native 2K.
Pick your point on the speed-quality curve. xitter.cf/DesignArena/status/211…
BREAKING: Ideogram 4.5 (Very Low) by @ideogram_ai ranks #23 in the Image Editing Arena on Design Arena with an Elo of 1189.
At 8.2s per edit, it's over 7x faster than Ideogram 4.5 (High), and at $0.008 per image it's the cheapest model on the board, making it the highest rated model under 9s and leading every faster model by about 90 Elo points.
Congratulations to the @ideogram_ai team on delivering top value and speed in image editing!

I don't know why more people aren't using this tool:
Ideogram AI.
I paired it with Grok @bot to create a short nonfiction eBook.
It now generates $4,000–$5,000/month.
Like + reply "Send" and I'll DM you the full breakdown so you can replicate the process.

Create from a prompt, then keep refining. Change colors, adjust lighting, or update text, with more consistent details across edits.

Ideogram 4.5 is the most precise edit model.
We gave four frontier image editing models the same photo and 30 edits in a row: Ideogram 4.5 keeps most of the room intact, while the others drift, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst most visibly.
We've seen some interesting demos of multi-turn editing consistency from the latest image editing models, so we ran our own test: GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, #1 on our Image Editing leaderboard, against Ideogram 4.5, FLUX 3 and Nano Banana 2.1. Our leaderboard scores single edits; this tests what happens when 30 consecutive changes stack up, with each model editing its own previous output through a 30-step real estate staging sequence: light the fire, add a sofa, repaint the walls, swap day for twilight, and more.
Why are the final results so different?
@ideogram_ai's Ideogram 4.5 and @bfl_ml's FLUX 3 edit locally. On small edits like adding a vase of tulips, we measured that they left 95% or more of the image essentially untouched. GPT Image 2.5 (Sunburst) re-renders most of the entire image on every edit, leaving only about a fifth of the image unchanged, so small shifts in colour and detail compound over turns. Nano Banana 2.1 sits in between: its edits stay local, but the rest of the image shifts slightly and gradually darkens.

Nano Banana 2.1 vs. Ideogram 4.5 over 40 edits in a row.
Same prompt for both, and each one edits its own last image on @Scenario_gg

The most precise edit model.
Edit text, products, colors, lighting, or a single detail at full resolution while everything else stays intact.
Available now on Higgsfield.
Respect to all the photographers 🫡 You bring the craft, and we hope we can help with the hours.
I spent thousands of hours photographing and editing as a hobby. It brought out my creativity and attention to detail.
With so much code in my head, I want to return to photography to relax. But I have hundreds of unedited photos because I can't justify the editing time.
Really hope Ideogram works as advertised. Open weights are coming, and I'm looking forward to hopefully running it locally to EDIT my photos, not GENERATE them.

for those that don't grasp how crazy this is
GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst vs Ideogram 4.5
and by the way it's likely just simple masking/in-painting but it still surprises me it's not the default for the majority of image editing models.
you can tell it's in-painting because you can see the bush around my shoulder slowly turn into a line. it's the same reason my tattoos fade on why side of my arm (the closest to my t-shirt).
no excuse for chopping of half of my head though.
I'm going to have to try a workflow where I use this on every frame of a video.

looks like they solved it.
besides the fact that it reduced my head size by 20% at the 26th iteration and slowly made me fatter, everything else was almost intact.
my tattoos are also a bit faded on the 100th edit, but no one in their right mind should be doing that many edits.
very cool.
Ideogram 4.5 is now in ComfyUI.
It's an edit model built to fix drift. 4.5 keeps the rest of your image intact, edit after edit.
→ Multi-turn edits that stay clean
→ Edit 24MP+ images without downscaling, with crop edges preserved so the edit stitches back in seamlessly
→ Translate text in signage, packaging, and banners
→ Style reference, sketch-to-image, depth-to-image, and photo restoration
