toby is trying to grow the burger joint’s social media accounts so she makes tj do the bicep heart trend, while she holds one of their burger specials in the heart. it takes them a good amount of retries and complaining because tj always ended up looking a bit awkward but toby successfully baits him by telling him to imagine yw is the camera instead and it seems to do the trick. the next days there’s a sudden surge of customers, mostly girls lining up who have seen the video and are there to see tj doing the trend and not so much for the burgers. they order a lot and tip well, so when they ask tj to do the trend again he mentally shrugs it off and does so. yw finds out about the video through toby who proudly shows him the numbers it did and sneakily adds ‘you should’ve seen the line of girls yesterday’ just to wind him up. yw scrolls through the comments, immediately disliking the more crude ones, stabbing the dislike button harder each time, while an unsuspecting tj wipes the counter to finish up the day. the annoyance doesn’t leave yw even after they get home and he finally asks tj if he’s resorted to making thirst traps for the restaurant. tj doesn’t even know what a thirst trap is, and just goes ‘oh that’ when yw shows him the video, ‘toby told me to do the heart thing, said it’s good for marketing’ yw is insufferable about it for the rest of the night, bringing up the video in the most petty ways - asking tj if he’s going to work shirtless next, or pulling up the video again to read the worst of the comments (even though reading them again makes his blood boil) until finally tj grabs his phone and deletes the video, ‘there, are you happy now?’. yw doesn’t know how to react at first and goes for his usual nonchalance, acting as if he wasn’t that bothered by the whole thing in the first place. ‘next time just say when you’re jealous’ tj says far too amused and his large hands settle at yw’s hips, drawing him closer to kiss him and muffle the grumbles and denials that were sure to slip out of yw’s lips. the next morning toby woke up to the video gone and to a photo in her dms of tj doing the bicep heart and yw’s face in it, grinning and flipping the middle finger to the camera. tb: damn you, ian. yw: 😘
