President Zelensky says Europe must prepare to take on a much bigger geopolitical and security role as American leadership declines regardless of political parties. In the long run, American politics have proven unreliable at best and hostile at worst. And the idea that Democrats will somehow defend most of Europe's interests is simply not realistic. They won't be openly hostile, but that's a very low bar. Europe's security can no longer depend on Washington and thus it must become strategically autonomous, take responsibility for its own defence and the world around it, and emerge as a global power. Europeans should definitely not expect Americans to elect them a new "daddy", especially with the developments on the global level
Far too much depends on what Germany believes in and whom Germany believes in.
The United States’ role in the world may become even smaller. So Europe’s role in the world must become even greater. And without Germany, this is impossible.
Without you, freedom will surely lose.
Freedom and security in Europe have no alternative to your commitment and your strength.
Europe has no alternative to Germany. Please remember that.

Castigo a Trump, victoria de la democracia. La principal lección de la derrota rotunda de los republicanos y Donald Trump... es que la democracia vive en el país que acaba de celebrar los 250 años de su fundación elpais.com/opinion/2026-11-0…

Elon’s going to have to punish grok again
Hey @grok how many illegal aliens do you expect will be voting today?
A rough estimate is fine.
Spare me the woke nonsense that illegals don’t vote.
We all know they do.
Be real with us.
Promising progress for Maxwell and our @NASA Communications Services Project. The team is moving towards the first L‑band network relay demo and prepping for the Ka‑band antenna deployment. Excited to continue this mission with @RocketLab and the NASA CSP team.

I spoke with @thewarzonewire about the crazy and false rumor that the Trump administration was considering using nuclear weapons in Iran. It is not. Discuss the role and effect of nuclear weapons, but don’t spread the false rumor. twz.com/nuclear/a-nuclear-st…

NEWS 🚨: NASA's Perseverance rover has found that Martian dust is smaller and potentially more dangerous than previously thought:
• Ultrafine particles can cling to spacesuits and potentially contaminate astronauts' living quarters
• Particles this small could penetrate deep into the lungs and enter the bloodstream
• Research on Earth suggests ultrafine particles may even reach the brain

This kind of thing is the natural next step of globalization and all of human society, globally, becoming more correlated through technology.
The interconnectedness first extended to states: Around the time of the early industrial revolution everyone suddenly knew where every other country was, and knew what borders everyone claimed. Soon you could ship packages anywhere on the planet, or physically travel anywhere on the planet. Then, with almost realtime satellite footage, you could see anywhere on the planet.
When I was in high school, I was really excited about the idea that if humanity could build reliable, fast, cheap space technology we would be able to expand beyond Earth and "lose track of ourselves" once again: Be back on a frontier, know far less about each other, diffusing into the wider universe like a drop of ink in a glass of water. No one government would be able to oppress everyone, and if we spread onto multiple planets and between them, there would be more cracks for people to disappear into.
When I learned about progress toward AGI, and that deep learning might "work" to get us there, none of that made sense anymore. Advanced AI was an understanding, analyzing, and tracking technology that we wouldn't be able to outrun. If something went wrong with AI, it would affect all of us, even if we'd spread off of the planet. It could track us all down in the darkness of space.
We're all in this together now. Unless we find strong countervailing forces, all of our actions affect everyone else's more than they ever have. We'll be able to track each other, trick each other, hack each other, infect each other. Technology seems to connect all things, and connecting all things seems to centralize them, and centralizing them makes them fragile.
