Happy to see this paper out on the @uwiseismic/@mvoms work during #lasoufriere eruption in #stvincent . It tells monitoring, communication, and collaboration, in a low resources environment @NEMOSVG @VolcanoJenni @RaphaelGrandin @jvernier82 @ijhamling @BDaviesGeo @PaulCole23
We're excited to share our new #openaccess paper in @NatureComms on the 2020 – 2021 #eruption of #lasoufriere #volcano #stvincent rdcu.be/cRLEE. We discuss the challenges of responding to #eruptive transitions in a resourced constrained 🌋setting.

New results from @nzsearise out tomorrow. Heads up presented on Newshub tonight. Sea level coming at us faster than previously though in areas where our land is sinking...
EXCLUSIVE: Tonight I delve into new sea level rise predictions with huge implications for many Kiwis. Climate scientists I first met in Antarctica have found a way to make their research meaningful to each and every one of us. See you tonight at 6pm on @ThreeNewZealand

A JVGR paper suggested that the Dec 9 eruption at White Island could've been forecast based on deformation signals derived from InSAR analysis. @ijhamling got to work and the interpretation is based on errors with processing, so we wrote a comment authors.elsevier.com/c/1conT…

It's been a big day in Aotearoa. We've had the most amazing self evacuation response to tsunami and three M7+ earthquakes. Our scientists and emergency response teams have reacted brilliantly. On top of all this we've had no community cases of covid for 5 days. Kia kaha NZ!

Pretty annoying that the new passport is missing the EU affiliation but at least it's still burgundy!

Active fault system of New Zealand’s South Island represented graphically like a subway/metro map (like most transit maps, it’s not geographically accurate). Sorry fellow geo-nerds, I had to simplify the actual fault system! #NewZealand #activefaults #graphicdesign #artandscience
