Business Aviation Full Time Jet Charter occasional stream of consciousness.

There’s only a handful of G700 available for charter in the world. This is one of them. It’s not often you book one let alone take the positioning flight to go greet the client on departure. This is what $40k/hour looks like.

Non aviation related but there’s insane market share available in whoever develops the next generation of gas station tire pumps. Doesn’t matter where you go - brand new Wawa, old piece of shit Shell…BROKEN. Even the ones that are working are broken..they double inflate or literally empty your tire.

If you are HNW or UHNW - this something your wealth advisors will miss if you plan on establishing permanent residency in Puerto Rico and want to maintain frequent travel to the continental US or Europe. Unless you own an aircraft that you can park full time in San Juan, Ceiba, or Aquadilla - you are leaving the normal service area for Part 135 operations. Especially if you are partial to newer aircraft (2015 and above) your cost per flight hour that your ass is in a seat just ballooned significantly.

Buying a Tesla solves problems you didn’t even know you had. $100/month for FSD is the steal of the decade. If it was $1,000/month I’d probably still pay it.
Not enough people realize how revolutionary Tesla’s FSD is. Practically impossible to go back to a regular car after experiencing the self-driving technology

If you thought I was lying about the Boca to Miami empty legs.. Watch how these clowns intentionally obscure the departure airport and make no mention of Boca in the video. This is an 8 minute flight in some cases. These apps are scams, do not fall for them.

Empty legs are fully optimized and have already successfully reached their critical mass in the market. The viable ones sell and the bad ones don’t. It’s very simple. No one is flying from Des Moines, Iowa to Oklahoma City on a Wednesday morning at 5:15am. You can’t arbitrarily create demand. That plane is going to fly empty 100 times out of 100 times. There are literally 100’s of empty leg apps and websites. @preston_holland has a good one @fastjetsalerts. There’s also a ton a bad ones that overpromise availability at super low rates. you’ll be lucky to get on a Boca Raton to Miami empty once every 6 months.

When you hear ‘most jets end up flying empty. We need to vibecode this shit’ very rarely is it discussed what the routes being flown empty are. They are repositioning often times very short distances Examples; -Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale -White Plains, NY to Teterboro -Dallas Fort Worth to Dallas Love -Washington, DC to Baltimore -Burbank to Los Angeles Etc These aren’t marketable or sellable routes. They are typical routes you see on the scam empty leg apps for $2,000/year for ‘unlimited’ flights. Faster to drive.

Right on cue amidst the OneFlight implosion. “First flight free” aka get ready to relax your asshole. Nothing is free in private aviation, you will pay in one form or another.
If you’re flying under a certain amount of hours per year, the direct broker to client on demand charter model has been and will always be the best way to fly. It’s undefeated. Pay per flight - it’s simple. Flying private is supposed to be cost prohibitive. There are no ‘deals’…stop trying to hunt them. The minute you start seeing free flight promos, AI instant booking apps, 30% below market rates, free upgrades etc - run the other direction. Find yourself a quality, experienced broker (plugging myself) who has the relationships, digs into every flight, and captures the market in real time. We are professional problem solvers, that is what we do and how we make our living. Let him or her make their 8-15% and move on with your life. Stop trying to outsmart the market.

BREAKING: ONEflight international/Bring A Jet (know for the CNBC ads) has paused flying for 30 days. Historically have been know for insane flight promotions to put money on deposit. As a reminder, deposit holders are unsecured creditors in situations like this.

A general rule of thumb, with SOME exceptions: If a helicopter is not running you $100/minute you probably should not get on it.

There is no better sector where a buyer has unlimited leverage to negotiate than a US-Hawaii empty.
A killer deal if you’re trying to jump to Hawaii tomorrow!
