‼️a rant: Compliment an artist's work by compare it to another artist's work, is the worst type of compliment. This could apply to other subjects as well, but this is what on my mind recently. It doesn't matter that the artist u praising is better or not, it's still a comparison.

Parroting "your work is sooo much better than artist B!" on every post of the artist A that u claim to love doesn't sound like a praise to me. Like u can't see artist A as an individual project at all and just a work that existed to pity the work that u hate.

I had those kind of compliments before, and lord i was irritated as hell. If u ever want to give love to your favorite artist, just say u love their work. It was nothing buger to make a fuss abt it, but i don't think being a lil bit more considerate would hurt.
