Hard telling what part of Twitter is more insightful today - the aviation experts or the election experts. We’re blessed to have such a well informed communication platform. Thank god Elon figured this all out.

I suspect this man was a Nightstalker. He’s giving good advice to those who would judge any of the people involved in yesterday’s crash from behind their keyboards.

A person should not: judge a pilot from chalk 2 when they have no idea what is going on in chalk 1s cockpit. There is absolutely a disposition a pilot should have, but everyone (myself included) can reach a point where they lose it over the radio. There’s a recording of me when we were being shot to crap. I’m not proud of it, but it happened. Easy to armchair quarterback, but that’s not the answer.

No one is on record with those accusations. They were also leaked by anonymous sources - in violation of civilian law and the UCMJ.

Fox: Why are you here this morning? Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

It should not be up to one human being which nationalities are and are not welcome in this country. We were designed with a diffused system power-wise (to protect us all) and seem to have forgotten this. Do we still teach this in American schools?

We would probably do better as a country if we stopped accusing each other of stealing the elections. Trump says crazy shit, but doesn’t really mean it. And the Dems couldn’t organize a monkey shit-throwing fight, let alone a coup.

Is this really happening?

US has not spent $350B on Ukraine. It has spent $132B, $33B of that is money. The rest is $21B in loans, repaid from frozen Russian assets, $4B in humanitarian aid, and the vast majority, $74B is military equipment. Half that equipment is new, made in the US. The other half is old stockpile equipment, which soon would have had to be demilitarized at great cost. The replacement equipment is made in the US, so the money stays in the US.
Meanwhile, the EU and European countries have spent a combined $271B, more than twice as much as the US.

⚡️Mikhail Gorbachev, last Soviet leader, confirms in an interview: NATO's 'no expansion' promise was a myth. The explicit promise he's yelling about boils down to one sentence James Baker tossed out in feb, 1990: “not one inch eastward" — said while they were figuring out how to put a reunited Germany inside NATO without crossing a line with the soviets. Gorbachev himself has said dozens of times since that It was never written down—It was never ratified—It was only ever about the territory of the former East Germany (the GDR). Now in 2014 and 2015 interviews he literally called the idea that this blocks NATO enlargement today a myth and nonsense. Here's Gorbachev in his words, 2015: The decision for the unification of Germany was made without any discussion of NATO enlargement... Using that conversation from 1990 as a pretext for today's events is absurd. Putin keeps waving this one off the cuff Baker line like it's the Treaty of Westphalia, while ignoring Kohl, Genscher, Bush, Shevardnadze —everybody in the room, saying the same thing: NO treaty, NO blanket ban. The actual treaty that ended the matter (the Two Plus Four Agreement) has zero words about NATO staying out of Poland, Hungary, the Baltics, or anywhere else. Every single ex-Warsaw Pact country that joined NATO after 1998—did it voluntarily because they remembered 1956, 1968, and ofc 2022. It’s an empty promise that never existed outside one informal chat—and Putin turned it into his favorite security-blanket excuse to bully neighbors who dare to choose their own path. To this day, Gorbachev still says that the promise never went beyond German borders.

I know we’re pretty numb to it at this point but these random ceasefire announcements that the two warring parties don’t know about isn’t, and shouldn’t become, normal. It comes across as the US leadership just yelling into the air hoping something comes of it.

It will be very interesting (as I’ve long said) to see how much of the anger Americans have directed at each other was deliberately stoked by those foreign entities who wish us harm. If so, we fell for it hook, line and sinker. Playing into the hands of our adversaries.
If you hit enough Russian data centers, a ton of “American” Twitter accounts suddenly stop posting.

Every once in a while the fundamental difference between Catholics and Evangelicals comes into stark relief:
I support the Pentagon’s decision to livestream the execution of mass-murderer Nidal Hassan.   Capital punishment is commanded by God in Genesis 9:6 to remind people of the sanctity of human life. The more people that can see that truth illustrated through a public execution, the better. @DeptofWar @PeteHegseth

Lots of people on here who have never killed someone being really macho about televising the execution of Nidal. You can think he’s a piece of human garbage very deserving of death, without wanting to glorify the act itself. I don’t think Jesus would be tuning in.
There is no doubt Hassan deserves to die. His crimes were demonic and unforgivable—death by firing squad is borderline too merciful. But broadcasting his execution is beneath the dignity & decency of our nation. Americans will use violence if and when justified, but we do not rejoice in it. Kill him swiftly & silently. Streaming his execution is not just a stain on our morality—it also gives the terrorists free propaganda that they will use to radicalize & recruit more terrorists like Hassan.

Intelligence must draw on memory. The mind must not simply compile data — as an algorithm now does more quickly than we can — but recall lived experiences, which contain depths of meaning that only the human soul can recognize, and connect more deeply with the goodness of these experiences. Everything that is good begins “with the Spirit” and thus possesses a breath, a dynamism and a sense of communion that, once experienced, are engraved upon the heart. vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…
