Through a strategic partnership between Infrastructure South Africa and Delta Scan, 500 schools across KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo have been digitally assessed. Using advanced technologies, including drone imaging, laser scanning, digital twins and AI-supported analysis, the programme has identified approximately R4.61 billion in measured infrastructure needs, providing credible data to inform project preparation, investment and infrastructure planning.
What began as a pilot has demonstrated a smarter, faster and more transparent approach to public infrastructure assessment. By combining technology, reliable data and professional expertise, ISA and Delta Scan are helping government identify critical infrastructure needs, prioritise investment and make evidence-based decisions to improve learning environments.
