Everyone on this app thinks they're the "third type."
@thedankoe 's letter dropped tonight: 3 types of people in the AI age. Purists, Automatons, and the rare third.
So I built a test that calls the bluff. 12 forced choices, 2 minutes, no way to game it politely.
I got 56% Purist. Post yours below!
Claude is becoming seriously frustrating to use.
Yesterday, @claudeai refused to draft a simple internal document for my own company because I asked it to include an earlier date — telling me it wouldn’t help “create a false document.”
And beyond the refusal, the moralizing / condescending tone is getting really annoying. @trq212
@AnthropicAI @DarioAmodei, I love Claude for work, but you’re locking it down way too much.
My last project is a website for my 6 yo daughter.
She's the main character and got a landing page and a private section which is a small computer: a desktop, windows, a paint studio, a journal, games, apps. made in a way she can understand and use all of it.
Everything she makes is private. Nothing goes public until a parent reads it and publishes it, or not. Only then does it appear on the public side, at her own domain, that her friends can open with their parents.
It's a way for me to teach her tech, apps, internet and guide her with her first publications while having some fun.
Internal family tool. No Saas ambition, one user, no analytics, no MRR.
That said, I wonder what other parents would think about it.
Everyone reading this assumes they're the third type.
I built a 2-minute test to check, ran it on myself first, and got a result I wasn't expecting.
The assumption is the whole problem. @thedankoe
I just built thethirdtype.com based on the last @thedankoe 's article.

I hope you find it useful or at least beautiful😀
You'd have been Supreme Habibi of Dubai on my ALL-TIME SHEIKH BOARD 😂
I don't do web games tbh - but funny timing:
I just found my old Game Boy Advance in a box at my parents' house. Pokemon, The Jungle Book, Sonic... That's my gaming backlog for the month =D
What are your favorites though? Curious what you'd have picked for me.
@internetuser89 what are your favorite web games? i got some for you
The median outbid.lol clone made $18.90.
I spent 2 days building mine anyway , just for the vibe — cinematic Dubai skyline, a roasting camel, live money feed, real payment rails. . This is either marketing or the most elaborate $15 of my life. habibid.lol
habibid.lol ships with a Hall of Sheikhs. Three OGs, listed free, forever:
outbid.lol - @jonathan_wilke — one night, three hours of code, $200k+ of pure flex.
The Original Sheikh. We kneel.
warmap.lol - @ahmedgagan11 — 194/194 countries sold. The Sheikh of All Lands.
1milllionpixels.com - @MakerThrive — $42 on outbid → 64,000 visitors → $4k . The Smartest Habibi.
They didn't pay. They don't need to. The city was built in their honor.
One week ago outbid.lol and @jonathan_wilke proved people will pay real money to flex on a leaderboard (and get some ROI).
As a tribute, for the fun of it and also to mog the attention economy.
Habibi…🚀 I introduce you:
habibid.lol — Rank = Money. #1 gets the Burj.
Dethroned? The camel roasts you by name.
The throne is at $10 right now. Habibi, come to Dubai 🐪

In business we used to try to keep our company's financial data as secret as possible, for many reasons, nowadays the only metric that seems to count is $ MRR . My guess is that trend is more about fueling founders vanity and dopamine needs than really trying to really be significant. Thoughts ?
If I were to find "only for you" or this type of phrasing on a paywall or an add it would straight away cool me down and turn me away from even starting a trial period.
My inner voice instantly react like "yeah and you're saying this to everyone you scammer" and my trust is gone.
Oh and I'd go with "start" 😉, it's not a gift that they'd claim!
Confession: I can't work on boring projects.
Sometimes boring has to be done — but I'm the guy who'll find a reason to laugh somewhere in the build, or I lose steam. Anyone else, or is it a flaw?
First tool shipped 🚀. Zero paying customers. One very satisfied user 😌: my own company. Does this count, or do the bragging rights come with the first invoice?

Shipped my first real internal tool in january 2026.
Not a SaaS. No landing page. No waitlist.
One customer: my own business.
A full editorial platform for one of my brick & mortar companies:
→ AI drafts on a cron or on demand SEO-ready articles (keywords, meta, FAQ schema, internal links etc)
→ I review on a kanban board, schedule with drag & drop on a calendar
→ one click publishes to the live website
→ Analytics page, sticky notes and more
Newest part: The Forge.
Tailored fresh posts ideas every week with our brand voice or my community manager types a rough idea —
AI turns it into a ready FB/IG post, image included.
She keeps full control. She just never faces a blank page again.
React + n8n + Notion as the database, most of it written with Claude Code. v2.2, with a built-in user guide my team actually reads.
Everyone's building software to sell to businesses.
I started with the two I already own.
Being your own first customer is underrated.
From IRL to URL.
