I honestly don't see how any responsible MP could look at the following and think "but let's vote this bill through anyway and let's do it in a way that cuts off any Lords scrutiny via the Parliament Acts". It will be a travesty if the Commons passes this bill today.
It is SO difficult to get any help when online banking fails, I cannot log on & was advised to go to online chat to request the statements I need, bot not working….arghhhh . I have tried three times @BankofScotBiz

Your party backed a supertax on oil companies in the North Sea.
Your party opposed new licenses in the North Sea.
Why are you surprised BP has decided to pack it in?
Nauseating hypocrisy to affect to be now concerned about jobs and communities.
🚨 BP’s decision to sell its North Sea business is a wake-up call for Westminster.
😶 Warm words won’t protect jobs in our community, bolster energy security or drive investment.
⚡️ The UK Government must end the supertax, back workers and deliver a just, managed transition for the North Sea.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The SNP supported the introduction of the windfall tax (Energy Profits Levy) on oil and gas companies and adopted a presumption against issuing new North Sea drilling licences. lordslibrary.parliament.uk/energy-oil-and… bbc.com/news/articles/…

Alan Cumming and the luxury beliefs of a hugely successful, entitled luvvie.
He ignores the unassailable fact that Nicola Sturgeon, as leader of the SNP from 2015, was responsible for the good stewardship of her party’s finances. A responsibility she catastrophically failed to fulfill. She was criticised, and rightly so for her dereliction of duty. She was never “lashed” and to use that violent term to deliberately invoke images of a woman being whipped is simply cynical. Sturgeon is no martyr. She is a successful Z-list media personality.
And he wilfully misrepresents the debate about self ID. It was never just about “f***ing toilets” - it was, and remains, about the material reality of sex; the right of women and girls to safe, secure places; the safeguarding of vulnerable children and adolescents; and the correct balance of women’s rights according to the law against the demands of men with a fetish.
His contempt for the majority of Scots who do not share his and Sturgeon’s performative progressiveness shines through in the this interview (link to free article in replies). He should stick to trying to get bums on seats at the Pitlochry.

Hospitals for sick children shouldn't be used to promote adult sexuality campaigns.
Alder Hey is home to one of the new gender hubs. As soon as a child enters the hospital they're encouraged, validated and rewarded for a trans identity. This is not an impartial setting.
My disabled child was handed this Pride Activity Booklet 2026 while we were waiting for his appointment at Alder Hey today.
It’s full of wording such as “lesbian”, “gay”, “bisexual”, “trans”, “non binary” etc, colouring pages saying “Some kids have two mums” and “Some kids have two dads”, rainbows, “Equality Wins” pictures, and stickers from Alder Hey Children’s Charity covered in pride flags.
When we came back down after the appointment they have a full set-up in the middle of the hospital with speeches going on about LGBTQ+.
I bring my child here so he can see his doctors and get the medical care he needs, not so that adults can push gender and LGBTQ+ ideology on an impressionable disabled child in a hospital waiting room.
This is a children’s hospital. Something has gone badly wrong when this is treated as normal.
I do have a video of me making a complaint. The gentleman said “I’m so sorry, it’s nothing to do with us.” I genuinely felt sorry for him, so I will not post it.
So whose decision is it? The Trust, the charity, or higher up in the NHS and government?

🔺Scottish first minister John Swinney repeatedly refuses to categorically rule out early release of rapists & murderers from Scottish prisons in @SkyNews interview.
PM Burnham today halted the English/Welsh early release scheme.
Asked whether he’d ensure Scottish killers wouldn’t get out early, Swinney told me “that’s not what I would want to do” before saying “we have to consider all the difficult issues we face” & refused to confirm it would never happen.

I’m sure you all remember Avery Jackson, the “trans girl” who, at 9, was on the cover of National Geographic in January of 2017. Avery was given the gold standard in gender affirming care: he was chemically castrated and sterilized with “blockers” to hold off male puberty.
Now Avery has come out as “nonbinary” and chosen not to pursue transition, meaning that his puberty was blocked for no reason — but that’s not the worst part. He also identifies as asexual, meaning that he doesn’t experience sexual attraction.
This is undoubtedly the result of the medication used to delay male puberty. The president of WPATH, Dr, “Marci” Bowers, has said on camera that so-called puberty blockers, which are used to chemically castrate sex offenders, chemically castrate the young boys who take them as well, leaving them incapable of arousal or orgasm.
For adult sex offenders, the process is reversible. For boys like Avery, the effects are permanent. He will never feel sexual attraction, or any of the experiences that accompany it. He is also completely sterile; he will never father a child, and his own childhood was spent in the national spotlight. The blockers he was given have also stunted his physical and mental development in irreversible ways. We know from the experiences of other “trans” children that he will never sexually mature - neither physically nor emotionally. All of these things were stolen from him, and he has said that transitioning “ruined my life.”
It’s high time that we stop pretending that children can make an informed decision to transition or take blockers, even if their doctors are honest about the risks and consequences — which most are not.
Blockers are not a pause button. They are not reversible. The intellectual deficits they cause will never repair themselves, and neither will the damage done to the child victim’s body, or to their emotional intelligence and maturity. This will, of course, make it easier to push them into transitioning; ie, to sell them hormones and provide surgical alterations.
Parents like Avery’s, who try to monetize their child’s struggles with gender identity, belong in prison, not on television, and so do the doctors and politicians who were complicit in his chemical castration and sterilization.

“It appeared to make the hospital as energy efficient and as green as possible took priority over the clinical requirement for high change air rates.” - Poplett
The SNP were so obsessed with virtue-signalling over “green targets” that they put ideology ahead of patient safety at the QEUH.
Now we’ve got a hospital linked to fatal infections, hundreds of medical errors, and grieving families asking why basic healthcare standards came second to Nicola Sturgeon’s climate PR.
