Starting something new. After nearly 13 years @ Apple, I'm moving on to build something of my own. Working on one main product idea, plus a couple side projects. I'll also be doing some contracting work along the way when the fit is right. Looking forward to the challenge and exploring where this goes.

I've now built 6 ML models for @DewyGolf over the past ~year, each with multiple versions, expansive data sets, etc. 3 dedicated just to making golf course maps. Still surprises me when things "just work." Some of the most fun I've had in my professional career.

Teaching computers to see/understand the world (golf courses from satellite, photos, txt) has been some of the most rewarding and fun work I've done recently. I'm building out (on the side) Burgerater. For people that are interested in finding the best of a given food type. Limited folks can play the game on burgerater.com (desktop is best, working on that) and get access to the TestFlight.

Wild seeing Brazil/Portuguese overtake US/English for one of my side projects. Localization matters because people being comfortable in the app they use matters.

Played with my v5 model to detect features (typically used just for golf courses) over my entire city/surrounding area. Very cool to see it extend into new uses.

I have a "long" run training running, about 16hrs in of about 30hrs expected. Such a freeing thing when the computers are churning and I can focus on next steps.
