We had room for 2,000 people at Startup School India.
More than 25,000 applied.
No Startup School anywhere in the world has ever had this many people apply. Not SF, not NYC, not London. India blew them all away.

Ever heard about someone building a company from the ground up to hit 900 crores revenue and then shutting it down to pivot to international markets and build a 10,000 crores global seafood giant?
A truly fascinating tale of how a middle class Mysuru boy built a global seafood giant with no background what-so-ever of the industry..
Sort your weekend with a fantastic episode.
The episode is now live: 👇
youtu.be/T2IKux3hQFs?si=pdeC…
Our next story is about the Rocky Bhai of the seafood business.
A boy from Mysore, with absolutely no background in seafood, is today running a global seafood company. From the Atlantic to the Pacific, from the Arabian Sea to the Indian Ocean, his company operates across oceans, runs frozen food processing factories in multiple European countries, has offices in more than 10 countries, and sells fish across the world, generating Rs 10,000 crore in revenue.
And here is the surprising part. He comes from a very humble, middle class background in Mysore. You cannot get a more rooted Mysorean Kannadiga than @ksutham.
What he has built is a truly fascinating story. He is also an incredible storyteller. We often hear that Kannadigas are less ambitious, that they are content with what they have. This story is 180 degrees opposite to that belief. Here is someone with the ambition to conquer the world and build the largest seafood company on the planet.
This is a story for anyone who feels limited by where they come from. You did not go to IIT. You did not have wealthy parents. You did not have constant guidance. You did not have generational wealth. You did not come from a business background. None of that has to be an impediment.
If you have the clarity to know what you want, the willingness to figure things out, and the mindset to ask what is the worst that can happen, you can build something extraordinary.
This is a story we truly, truly enjoyed producing. The trailer drops today, and the episode goes live this Friday, the 10th.

A simple way to think about AI agents:
LLM = reasoning
Tools = actions
Memory = context
Agents combine all three.

2004 was a good year, but your Gmail address doesn't need to be stuck in it.
To say goodbye to [email protected] or [email protected] (or whatever you were into at the time), go to your Google Account settings and choose any name available. You'll keep your old username and you can sign in with both.

This is one of the best side effects of AI. The other advantage is AI will help us accelerate core engineering as well.
AI will correct talent drift away from core engineering: IIT Madras Director Kamakoti at AI Summit
“If we invest heavily in training a biotech or mechanical engineering student and that talent moves into generic IT work, it is a waste of national resources,” he said, pointing out that public investment in non-computer science engineering education is significantly higher than in computer science.
AI-driven automation will naturally direct such graduates back into core engineering roles.
