No I don’t. When was that ?
Remember when Ottawa and Toronto conservatives swooned over this guy? Some of us have a red line and refuse to ignore it.

Bill Bennett did more than any other Canadian to inspire Anglo American conservatism post 1980

Ottawa speaks.
Few seem to understand the biggest winner in BC politics this year was @Dallas_Brodie A truly courageous leader who put truth over popularity and position. She made the platform of the BC Conservatives possible by opening the Overton window in the legislature and holding them accountable for the last two years. If we’re all extremely lucky, we have not seen the last of Brodie in the political realm.

Because nothing says "stronger strategic position" like losing your navy and air force and having your vital shipping route blockaded and your economy in free fall.
NOW - Obama says that Iran is "in a stronger strategic position now than before the war started."

One your national post colleagues was chewed out by a legal association for criticizing a judicial decision. I’m just calling for the same concern about a piece that criticizes judges for …. Who they studied with.
This piece really does seem to have gotten under the skin of the anti-Charter zealots, who have responded with their usual grace.

I don’t think that’s right. Five Albertans on the main desk. Two on the analysis desk and three on the results desk.
Replying to @Pagmenzies
To be fair, they did have people from Alberta, but most of them flew from Ontario.

I was on set all night and I seem to recall an awful lot of quality Alberta commentary. Photo credit: GdeS.
Anyone know if CBC plans on having the BC election analyzed - as was the AB referendum - by a group of people living a 5,000+ km drive from Vancouver?

Hold on. I was on. With Planet Janet, MHF and Gitane. And Kathleen Petty. There was an awful lot of Alberta content that night. Unless you’re holding my Toronto birth against me :)

We all know there aren’t any people in western Canada smart enough to be on CBC’s panels

On this date in MLB history (Oct 23, 1993) Joe Carter hits the only come from behind walk-off to clinch a #WorldSeries title. Carter had been 0-4 lifetime against Mitch Willams before his historic HR led the @BlueJays to the Game 6 win over the @Phillies at the Skydome in Toronto

Does that include land acknowledgments?
A good reason to reject irredentism on principle: any nation can manufacture historical claims against neighboring territories, even distant lands. It’s in the collective interest of states to shut down all annexationist ambitions.

Big move.
Job update: I'm excited to have joined energy economist @PTertzakian at the Calgary-based research and advisory firm he founded, Studio.Energy, as chief content officer.

"Admin" as a single category is misleading. Alot of this is mid level professional staff--advisors, IT, compliance, etc. That's not to deny the bloat, or excuse it, but it is to say that it's complex and should be treated in the fullness of its complexity.
🧵The number of humanities dissertations produced annually has declined by almost half, according to a new analysis. The same report shows that language related to power and identity surged while treatments of “Western,” “European,” and “American” turned increasingly negative.

Well it began with three months of late nights by me, in the office connecting the Liberal dots and grift. Then followed by a year of pushing in Parliament, a document production motion of Parliament which the government defied including a speaker ruling ordering the production, a three month privilege debate in the House(the longest in history) which I led, causing prorogation of Parliament by Trudeau. The AG outlined over $50m of grants to Liberal insider companies that were against the SDTC Parliamentary mandate, and another $350m of Liberal appointed directors funneling money to firms they had a financial interest in and were conflicted with breaking two Acts of parliament. The then DM of Industry said in Committee that they coloured outside the lines and it should be paid back. Then Joly asks SDTC (the Slush Fund) to investigate itself! Shockingly they disagreed with AG and said only $34m not $50m or $400m of the misappropriated money they approved for themselves should be paid back. And Liberals stop that again. There is no grift like a Liberal grift.

Anyone who thinks Alberta separatism will die out because of catastrophic electoral loss has obviously never heard of "proportional representation" or "universal basic income."
