If your country is not eligible, I'm really sorry! It is tough to get everything perfect when doing something completely new. The Coinbase team made a massive push to include who they could on a reasonable timeline.
A common question we have seen is about Coinbase's "Fill from the bottom" allocation algorithm. It means:
Iteratively do the following:
- allocate $1 to each bidder (subtract the amount allocated from $187.5M, and subtract $1 from each person's bid)
- remove all bidders that are fully filled
- keep repeating this process
(Some people mistakenly think bidding a higher amount will cause you to get filled for 0. This is incorrect.)
