We've just concluded our 8th @teamwork "Grand Council," and what an incredible week it was! With staff, customers, and partners scattered across the globe, remote work is effective, but nothing beats the value of face-to-face interaction, direct discussions, and immediate feedback. That's why every year, we bring together our 300 staff, along with some customers and partners, for an annual gathering in Cork, Ireland, which we affectionately call the "Grand Council." This face-to-face time allows us to achieve three key objectives: 1. Realignment, focus, and synchronization for all. 2. Addressing any obstacles hindering our progress, such as aligning with our values, accelerating deal closures, outpacing competitors, streamlining bureaucracy, fostering a better company culture, enhancing onboarding for new hires, and improving communication. 3. Enjoying ourselves and strengthening connections with colleagues, customers, and partners, in line with our values of friendliness, openness, honesty, trustworthiness, and kindness. 🕺 🍰 🍔 🍻 🍷 🍣 This year's event was one of the best yet. We shared our vision, offered a sneak peek of our enhanced branding (stay tuned for more), received direct feedback from customers on areas of strength and improvement, identified our top challenges, and built plans to tackle them head-on. And we had so much fun — from a 5k run to inspiring speakers, team outings, African drum lessons, a city treasure hunt, and culminating in an unforgettable party featuring a live band and an open bar. While hosting such an event in Ireland comes with significant expenses for travel and accommodations, the positive impact it has on our company culture and business acceleration is immeasurable.
