World of Warcraft: Forever, which comes out tomorrow, is already overrun with AI slop, especially AI-generated addons which are ripping off longtime devs' work. The problem is so bad, one of the biggest sites for tracking combat logs is changing its API 404media.co/world-of-warcraf…
NetEase just announced they’ll ban boosting and piloting in Forever.
Both were common in other version of CN WoW. 1st time I’ve seen them sound this serious about it. Curious to see how this plays out.

WoW: Forever — Game Environment Enforcement Policy
WoW: Forever launches globally tomorrow, November 5!
As outlined in our recently published detailed notice on rule violations, enforcement in WoW: Forever will remain at the highest level. The China operations team will continuously monitor the following violations to maintain a healthy game environment and a positive player experience:
• Prohibited boosting and piloting, including unauthorized boosting and transferring account access to another person.
• Multiboxing by running multiple game clients simultaneously.
• Abuse of the Warlock ability Ritual of Summoning, regardless of the reason.
• Prolonged grouping or cooperation involving abnormal character-level combinations.
• Advertising paid boosting, real-money trading, or other prohibited services, or using unauthorized third-party assistance software.
These violations seriously undermine the game environment. The China operations team will impose penalties appropriate to each violation.

Name reserve for Forever in China open in 4hrs, 2AM local time
funny thing is, all the big names and guilds seem to pick Horde. So everyone going Horde has to stay up trying to get a spot while Alliance players will wait until the next day. This made "faction balance" even worse at 2am.
I've seen people offering reserve service for "name reserves" lmao
The tent is 4x than the leatherworking one and you can share it with others as well
CN #WoWForever is getting two launch bundles. The starter pack is about $19 USD for 30 days of game time, four 10-slot bags, two 12-slot bags, 30 repair bots and leveling supplies.
The $133 annual bundle comes with extra transmog and pets, and a camp tent that accumulates rested XP four times faster (20%?) than regular tents. That’s a leveling benefit tied to the annual purchase.
Never in a million years did I expect to see Ion dressed up as Medivh and addressing Chinese players at the CN Forever Party. Given how serious people think he normally is, this has to be the first time ever I've seen him do something fun like this.
He also thanked the Chinese community for nearly 20 years of passion and support, shared what’s coming next for Retail, Forever, and Titan-Reforged Realms, and confirmed that Forever and TRR will coexist, with new content coming to TRR beyond Phase 11.
It definitely helps the ecosystem
WoW: Forever’s China team has clarified its rules for Beta and launch: no multiboxing, abnormal summoning services, or prolonged level-gap boosting.
One client per device on a shared network is allowed. Full rules and penalties below 👇
