The last time Taeo Meppen-Walter walked onto the pitch at Victory Park, he was celebrating promotion in his dad’s arms.
On Saturday, he returned to that same pitch, surrounded by his family, to remember and honour his dad.
In the most heartbreaking of circumstances, Courtney’s family were reminded just how much he meant to so many people. A much-loved son, partner, dad, brother and family member, but also someone who touched the hearts of everyone at Chorley Football Club.
Saturday was about more than football. It was about love, family, togetherness and remembering someone who meant so much to us all.
We will always remember Mepps. He will forever be part of the Chorley FC family. 🖤🤍

Following on from Tuesday’s deeply upsetting news, a fundraiser has been set up to support Courtney Meppen-Walter's family. 🖤🤍
The GoFundMe has been set up to relieve some of the financial burden, and to provide some breathing space for Courtney's partner and children at this difficult time.

A final bit of tidying & painting ahead of ground grading - any time you can spare between 𝟭𝟬𝗮𝗺-𝟰𝗽𝗺 would be very much appreciated (brews & bacon butties on offer 😋)
Thanks to everyone who came down and helped yesterday - it's really appreciated 😍

It’s exciting to see plans develop for a new artificial pitch, clubhouse and wider community facilities at Euxton Villa Football Club.
We’re offering £100,000 in support of their goal to raise £1 million to make the ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity a reality.
