Access to quality healthcare has improved significantly across Kirinyaga, with investments in facilities, medical personnel and better health outcomes. 🔹 Recruited 230 healthcare workers over the last five years. 🔹 Deployed 1,222 Community Health Promoters. 🔹 Increased Kerugoya County Referral Hospital’s capacity from 220 to 450 beds. 🔹 Expanded the county’s health facilities from 58 to 72. 🔹 Achieved 76% household registration under SHA, ranking among the top four counties nationally. 🔹 Reduced maternal mortality from 88 to 49 deaths per 100,000 live births, below the national target of 70, and neonatal mortality from 26 to 11 deaths per 1,000 live births. 🔹 Increased skilled birth attendance to 92% and maintained immunisation coverage at 92%. 🔹 Achieved 99% HIV status awareness, with more than 99% of those diagnosed receiving antiretroviral treatment. 🔹 Ranked among the top five counties nationally in hypertension and diabetes screening and initiation of care. 🔹 Sustained malaria transmission at below 1%. #WaiguruSOCA2026 #FinishingStrong #WiraWarie #KaziIongee @WilliamsRuto @Kirinyagabunge @County_20
