goldenfish g1 is finally out
this thing started as a system one model for code review, and honestly the original plan was way smaller than what it eventually became, we wanted something fast that could help make structured decisions inside a coding system, then we kept training, testing and changing the framing until code review stopped feeling like the interesting part
the training itself was pretty messy too, a lot of the compute came from modal promo credits, signup bonuses and the kind of free credits you get for adding a payment method, so i genuinely couldnt give you some clean impressive number for the training budget even if i wanted to, we also made a bunch of bad decisions, wasted runs, changed things halfway through and spent a lot of time fixing problems we probably couldve avoided if we knew what we know now lol
but i think thats probably my favorite part of this release, g1 is obviously not the best model in the world and i already have a long list of things i want to do differently next time, but we took an idea that started as a weird little code review experiment, kept pushing on it until it became something much more general, and actually got it out into the world
im genuinely super happy with that

Tomar uma decisão de mudar todo seu app é complicado, mas decidi fazer isso pra uma UI/ux muito melhor, descobri problemas de performance, servidores, etc. Está sendo um alívio. De repente Deus nao tinha deixado nada viralizar ainda pq eu precisava passar pelo amadurecimento.
