We encounter difficulties because overcoming them makes us stronger. Without the tough times there'd be no basis to appreciate the good ones.
This book is highly recommended. If you went through any type of trauma in your life it's a must-read. If not, many people have had trauma and it helps to understand what your friends or family have gone through.
