This is great work by Moving Atoms
And it plugs straight into what we do:
scan with them, export IFC or USD,
import into @pascal, edit the model, service the building
Two tools, one workflow
Moving Atoms (YC S26) introduces Scan to 3D Model.
One click turns any LiDAR or SLAM scan into a segmented, fully editable BIM model, ready to export to Revit, IFC, STEP, USD or Isaac Sim.
How it works:
1. Upload your scan. It opens instantly in our 3D viewer, which handles sites up to 5,000,000 sq ft.
2. The engine builds the model. It splits the scan into individual objects, measures each one and generates a native BIM element for every object.
3. Every point is checked. A heatmap shows where the model differs from the scan, and the engine refines each discrepancy until the model matches to within 5 mm.
Awesome work, good job
Section Sweep feels the most premium
Now imagine it on real blueprints, real building codes, architect-grade AI
That's what we're building at @pascal, open source
7 creative ideas to turn a flat drawing into 3D as you scroll.
Which one feels the most premium to you?
1- Section Sweep: a scan turns the ink into real materials and you walk in through the cut
2- Card Model: scroll down to the tiny figure and the white card model becomes the real house
3- Build Time-Lapse: walk the site while the house goes up week by week
4- Open Section: the cut opens into depth and the camera visits each floor
5- Sunlit Elevation: the hatching on the drawing is the real shadow, so when it turns to brick not one shadow moves
6- Exploded House: the layers land one by one in building order, then you walk in
7- Schedule Build: scroll the construction schedule and a crane builds the house
I’m sharing everything (starter prompts and repo). Stay tuned.
All built with Opus 5.5.
We ❤️ architects
The tools get obsolete, not the people
Free the architect from the software and watch what they create
AI is here for them today, at @pascal

Blaise Pascal: "Truth is so obscure in these times, and falsehood so established, that unless we love the truth, we cannot know it."
Plato says truth gets you hated.
Pascal says you won't even find it unless you want to.
Same reason we scan rooms instead of guessing.
The measurement doesn't care if you like it. @pascal
Blaise Pascal: "All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone."
Fair. But the room itself matters too.

More, not fewer. The 2004-looking software exists because engineers shipped without designers. Now designers can ship without waiting for engineers

this is the original poster btw, but because of photo rights we cant sell this. please totally do not copy this image and print it yourself
the poster in OP was brilliantly done by our designers youthandignorance.com/
You need it now, and you know it. Let some holy light flow through and feel good in your heart. Treat yourself bro. Scan your stairwell, drop a stained glass window in @pascal, see it before a single pane is cut
Stop the slop. This estate exists nowhere. Open @pascal Editor in your browser, free and open source, and start building something that will actually be built

This is a render until you build it. Capture your room, describe the window, and @pascal shows you exactly how that light lands on your floor at 4pm
