First quarter peal on an inside bell last night. Lots of fun, and it seems somebody on the village Facebook Group enjoyed it, too 🔔 #BellRinging
Make no mistake - we are also incredibly angry. We stand with @RSPBEngland in calling out the unprecedented attack on nature launched by UK Government over the last few days. We’ll be challenging this together and asking for our supporters to stand with us.

A call to arms from the #RSPB. The government wants to revoke 570 laws that protect English nature. A million members - the largest environmental pressure group in the world - are being mobilised. That’s a lot of angry voters. Please read this thread.

Keeping busy - quarter peals 4, 5, and 6 on Saturday and Monday, all half-muffled in memory of the Queen. Tenoring behind but all good striking practice 🔔 #bellringing

Here are the lighthouses of Europe. The map is even better than it might seem at first glance: the colors are the real colors, the patterns are the real patterns, and the size of the dots is the distance at which each light is visible. geodienst.github.io/lighthou…

Thousands of people are asking this same question: why? When plants are not obstructing the pavement, there is ZERO reason to spray them, except for the outdated view that plants are "untidy". Our money is being spent to destroy biodiversity even further! 🥀
Reduced to tears in the street today as the council sprayed pavements with weedkiller. There are >40 species on this road, all small, no trip hazards, all neat. @OxfordCity WHY are you doing this? 😭 We’re in climate & biodiversity crises & #COP26 is going on *in our country*!

Off to see @lanternstalk at @storeysfield tonight for our first show since the pandemic. They're on at 9:15, which has been around about bedtime for the last 18 months. Very excited for a sleepy singalong with one of our favourites ❤️

We had a first go at bellringing at our beautiful and imposing village church last night, and even had a tour of the belltower. A view higher than a two-storey house in the fens is always exciting.
