This is such a good piece of explanatory journalism on a question that has been nagging me and I’ve seen answered nowhere else: nymag.com/intelligencer/2022…

Do you know a kid who is an O’s/Adley fan and wears a youth M (10/12)? Connor accidentally received an extra jersey and wants to do a giveaway along with a duplicate Adley card he has. Just RT this and we will randomly pick someone on Friday!!! ⚾️🧡 @Orioles @RutschmanAdley

I love making haste to the fence every Palm Sunday morning with a fresh, crispy bright-orange carrot to say, “It’s your best day, Donk! The Lord had need of you!”

"If we had public primaries in all fifty states, we would have a very different Congress." Read @jbopdycke @davidjollyFL & @patrickmurphyFL new op-ed in @smerconish on how open primaries could be the answer to diluting the power of partisan politics: openprimaries.org/fear_and_r…

When I describe East Coast vs West Coast culture to my friends I often say "The East Coast is kind but not nice, the West Coast is nice but not kind," and East Coasters immediately get it. West Coasters get mad. 😂😂😂

The Trump presidency feels like a replay of World War One. It's hard to understand how we got into it. It's hard to explain how it ended. It lasted four years and ended with a pandemic. And once again, there are real Nazis working on an even bigger sequel.

“Somehow the guy who never left his house won the election?” says Rep. Jim Jordan. Yeah—and speaking as someone who also “hasn’t left his house,” I voted for him. So did 81 million other people who take this pandemic seriously.

I know the tape is bad, and vaccination is behind schedule and we’re going to pass 400,000 deaths (!) by Inauguration Day, but just remember how high the corporate tax rate used to be and how much lower it is now.

White Christian nationalism isn't going away. We desperately need leaders/pastors--especially the ones who've chosen to take "the high road" in recent years by ignoring anything "political"--to learn to identify its characteristics & uproot it in themselves & their communities.

Whoa. @imillhiser did some rough math and: If Republicans win the GA specials, the Dem Senate *minority* will represent 20 million more people than the GOP majority. If Dems win, the Senate will be 50-50, and Dems will represent 41 million more people. vox.com/2020/11/6/21550979/s…

important thread here. and to be honest, that trump is even polling within 16 points of biden remains an indictment of this country.
The more I hear about President Trump's covid treatment, the more I think about the late James Brooks, an 80-year-old black man who lived outside Detroit. He left Mississippi for Detroit and built a middle-class life for his family as a company man at Chrysler.
