Toronto Police have arrested three individuals and seized a firearm as part of an investigation into online marketplace robberies involving high-value items.
Protect yourself when selling online:
- Use trusted dealers or secure delivery services, especially when selling expensive items.
- Meet in a busy, well-lit public place.
- Never ignore red flags - walk away if something feels wrong.
Incredibly proud of our officers who put their safety at risk to apprehend these individuals. 🙏
Thank you to these brave officers for their great work in responding quickly, making arrests, and laying charges.
In this case, those arrested included a 14-year-old. In other cases, we have seen adults recruit and exploit young people to commit crimes.
While we continue to enforce the law and do all we can to apprehend offenders and bring them before the courts, these are all examples of why we need to keep advocating for programs and reforms that address youth involvement in serious crime.
This is not just a policing issue. We all have a responsibility to help deter criminality, hold offenders accountable, and ensure young people do not go down the path of crime.

Earlier this week, Chief Superintendent Andy Singh joined members of the Jewish Security Network (JSN) in the @JSNSecurity Integrated Security Operations Centre.
Having a Toronto Police Service officer in the integrated security operations centre during the holidays and other times of increased community concern can strengthen communication and information-sharing between police and the community. This is just one component of broader work underway and increased police visibility across the city to support community safety.
“the accused was sitting in a parked vehicle in possession of a firearm”
What was the accused going to do with that firearm? Your @TPS31Div officers were able to prevent a possible tragedy from occurring on that day by this person.

Your @TPS31Div officers continue making major arrests. This one involved a loaded gun, break and enter tools, & cell phone signal jammer. Yesterday was an awful day for our Jane/Finch community but your officers will continue to do everything they can to #SupportSaferCommunities
