Pretty awesome to see considering the time @jacksonstepp missed early on in the season due to an injury. He helped rejuvenate the @WESTHHSBASEBALL upon his return, fueling a late run at the Conference Title. They finished a strong 2nd and earned a 1st Round bye before falling to Hickory last Friday.
The Falcons have pretty much their whole core returning, so look for Jackson and the Falcons to fly high in 2027

Jackson Stepp (‘27 NC) up to 83 so far, and gets the strikeout here on a FB w/ some ASR and SNK. He’s also mixing in a CB w/ good depth at 72-74. #WWBA @PG_Coastal

Jackson Stepp (‘27 NC) spun a tight hook @ 71-74 to go along w/ a low 80’s fastball. Athletic body that can move around to play multiple positions. #SophNational @PG_Coastal

We are proud to announce our Mountain 7 all-conference players. Congratulations 2027 @jacksonstepp!

RHP Jackson Stepp (‘27, NC) made quick work of his two relief innings, striking out three w/o allowing a baserunner. Filled up the zone w/ the FB, showed ASR (T85). Spun his mid-70s CB with confidence & landed it for Ks often. Smooth, athletic mover down the slope w/ intriguing arm speed. Lean 6’0” frame w/ plenty of room to add more strength. #SunshineAtlantic

West #Uncommitted Prospects to Evaluate:
2025 1B/RHP @Logan_oliver12
-Was up to 85 MPH, sitting 81-83; throws a "heavy" ball that he hides well through his delivery; LH swinger has earned some starts at 1B this season as well
2027 IF/Util @jacksonstepp
-Enjoyed tracking the Freshman prospect; broke the Varsity lineup in a deep program; been playing 3B, toolsy; bat speed
2026 OF/LHP @BradyDuVall12
-Was 83-84 on the bump a couple weeks ago vs Tuscola but needs to get in the zone. Good size; has some pop form the left side too
North #Uncommitted Prospects to Evaluate
2025 C/Util Mason Gasperson
-Under the radar, but just as toolsy as many of the top WNC prospects; also a FB RB
2025 RHP/1B/OF @StashSpear
-Always loved his stuff on the mound, but has been one of North's best statistical hitters; starting to flash over the fence pop
2026 LHP/1B @MaybinPeyton
-Has quietly become one of WNC's top LHP prospects in any class. Low 80's FB, but offspeed mix and ability to locate is separating him from the pack
2026 C/OF @Dylan_28kl
-Fast, wiry; flashes athleticism in both OF and behind the plate; High academic interested in Dentistry
2025 IF/Util @alex_hannah15
-Coach King's most complete baseball player; +character; can play all 9; hit tool has jumped to above avg tool this season; getting stronger; Glove is plus as a Zobrist (2B/3B/OF)

Solid day at the plate for the Freshman 3B @jacksonstepp of @WESTHHSBASEBALL vs ACR on 4/13
Stepp was 2 for 2 with a Sac Fly, 2 RBIs, and a SB. Quick twitch athlete that is going to have a heck of a 4 year Varsity career
