The process of “The Return”. It stated as a sketchbook drawing, which I then refined into a large pencil drawing. I inked over the pencils using a lightbox, and then scanned the inks to colour the image digitally.

Choose your fighter

I originally created this illustration, because there was no high resolution file online of the bootleg game, Master Fighter VI' (Which itself was copying Tetsuo Hara's arcade flyer artwork for Saturday Night Slam Masters).

I was a little surprised to see these illustrations didn't really "hit" when I posted them a while back. I guess that's the nature of the internet now. Due to my commitments and life, I can't regularly post all the time, and when I make a big image, it gets lost in the noise.

If you are interested in this new body of work, I've started to make some separate accounts purely for my animal paintings: instagram.com/jackteagleart/ facebook.com/jackteagleart

For the last few years, my wife Donya has been working incredibly hard on a beautiful project, The Witch’s Egg. Please consider backing the Kickstarter for this book. Proofs have been sent from the publisher, and it looks stunning. Back it here: kickstarter.com/projects/ave…

Here are some more of the character driven illustrations I created for Lost in Cult's A Handheld History: 88-95. The artwork was for articles about Kid Dracula, For Whom the Frog Bell Tolls, Phantasy Star and Rez/Tetris A ridiculous amount of fun to work on these!

I’m so excited to be able to finally share this! My Magic the Gathering Secret Lair set - Guardians of Eden got announced.

That time I was privately commissioned to paint Macho Man Randy Savage with a young Dolly Parton.
