I know a lot of Africans/Caribbeans and I noticed they never mention their Grandparents. They don’t have pictures of them, stories about them, rituals surrounding them, they don’t “go to grandmas house” etc. Is this cultural or due to immigration?

I say it constantly but “Sister, Sister” executed the ‘teenager to young adult’ plot line BEAUTIFULLY! I would argue the last two seasons were the best, if not the best across any sitcom that focused on Black teenagers.
