Full credit to the leadership — both in appointments and in performance. It is ultimately about placing the right person in the right position, with the right responsibility, and enabling them to deliver. My gratitude to the MHA and the CRPF leadership, right down to the rank and file, for their commitment and contribution. The present DGP has earned a reputation for able and hands-on leadership. He is known to plan meticulously, remain connected with the ground realities, strengthen intelligence inputs and take care of the force’s welfare on all counts. The decline in Naxalism and terrorism is also a significant achievement, contributing to a stronger national security environment. Leadership, professional commitment and the well-being of the force together make the difference.
