📢 NEW GAME ANNOUNCEMENT 📢
We're making a cozy, chaotic puzzle game where you transform, combine, and BREAK items to arrange them to fit the grid. No matter what, everything MUST fit!

These spatial puzzles are surprisingly brain-teasing and so much fun! 📦🧩 Making every piece fit perfectly into place is pure satisfaction.

one of my favorite parts of working on Everything MUST Fit! is coming up with fun item combinations and adding silly item descriptions
(if you're familiar with Love, Ghostie, you know we love silly item descriptions 😉)

Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Super Smash Bros. and Kirby, is warning that AI could lead to a flood of unoriginal games.
Sakurai points out that Steam has gone from around 275 game releases a year in 2010 to more than 19,000 today
“AI can create games, but it can’t create something truly original.”
Sakurai also argues that originality means creating something players don’t even know they want yet.
He uses Fumito Ueda as an example, saying AI could imitate the style of games like ICO or Shadow of the Colossus, but it wouldn’t know what Ueda himself would create next.

Really enjoyed playing this and solving the puzzles with chat! 🧩 You can truly see and feel the care the devs put into every detail—the art, the music, the vibes are all top tier ✨

Play it!! One of my favourites so far
I don't have much to add to the Steam Next Fest discourse besides what's already been said, but with 8000 games and LOTS of AI games, it's rough
if you're looking for a human-made game by a small team of passionate individuals, it would mean a lot if you checked out our demo ⬇️

We desperately need Steam to let us filter out AI games. Force devs to tag their games with an AI tag so we can opt out of seeing AI games on our feed, just like we can opt out of seeing Adult Only games. Probably go from 8k demos to a couple hundred.
Steam Week in Review: Steam Next Fest has over 8,000 demos, as worthless vibe coded slop levels up pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/…
I love watching people play our demo because it's so fun to see how differently people solve puzzles
there have been a few times where I've seen solutions that I didn't know were possible 🤣
I helped my mom download Steam so she could play our demo, but it was late last night so after a couple of levels, I started to tell her how to quit so she could play the next day, and then she said "nonononono, I want to keep playing" and played 7 more levels 😅🤣

btw I got married 🥰
announcing a new game, releasing a demo, AND getting married within a month wasn't the best choice for my stress 🤣😭
but I did all of them and it all worked out, yay!
I was asked about how we came up with combos, so thought I'd share here too
it was a team effort with very creative people with a wacky sense of humor 🙏 lots of brainstorming sessions, thinking of items around the house/outdoors/etc and objects w/ interesting shapes! (cont. ⬇️)
after we created a list of "base" items, we made a spreadsheet grid to see all combos, went through each cell asking "what object would these two make?", "is it an interesting shape?", and even better if it's the same # of blocks in a shape that the original 2 items couldn't make
