My ❤️ is grateful for 40 seasons of coaching. New opportunities to Serve my King everyday. Nothin could be finer, than to be back in Carolina. 🙏🏻

"It is not my job to convert people; it is not my job to convince. My job is to ‘act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with my God’ and to ‘be prepared to give an account for the hope that lies within me.'"

“You guys make it about the wins and losses. 25 years from now, I want them to pick up the phone and call me because they need me. I’m there for them.”
The life of a coach is an investment in people, not just points.
Build a legacy that outlasts the jersey.
Tonight, I watched a JV coach relentlessly press his opponent the entire game. Final score was 61-29. @DallasAWillard would call this the “disappearance of sport.” I fear young coaches have seen this modeled at the college level. Coaches! You can and should do better! #education
But the thing that awakens the deepest fountain of GRATITUDE in a human being is that God has forgiven his sin. Oswald Chambers
For all you coaches out there, it really isn’t about the wins and losses. Love and mentor your players! @CoachJacie I’m so very proud of you! ❤️
Beautiful moment from today’s WBB presser.
For kids day, some 5th graders got to sit in and one of the dads in the back asked the girls a time they felt like giving up and how they pushed through.
Here was @WootenJadyn @haleigh_timmer @MicahGray2022 answers... @OSUWBB @CoachJacie

Got to ask @CoachJacie what a legacy win and record breaking season like this one does for the trajectory of Cowgirl Basketball and what it means to do it with players who have stuck with her like today's leading scorers Anna Gret Asi and Stailee Heard. #GoPokes #cowgirls #WBB
The sculptor in Boston called The Embrace honors Dr Martin Luther King. Its inspiration was a 1964 painting that depicts Coretta and MLK embracing after he received news he won the Nobel Peace Prize. Did you know he donated his $54,123 cash award? Leadership! Generosity! ❤️

In less than a minute, John Wooden explained how to conquer each day better than anyone I've ever heard:
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, & shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 1:14. Advent begins today. How to prepare? @DallasAWillard advice would be “relentlessly eliminate hurry” during this busy season. Try it!

The @NevadaWVB volleyball team was supposed to play @SanJoseStateVB today. SJSU has a man on their team.
Instead of playing, they held a press conference during game time and shared why they're holding the line. Major kudos to their bravery & leadership👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #BOYcott

“Negative experiences without teaching kills morale.”
Read that again.
This is what being a “transformational” coach is all about.
Are you about winning or are you about teaching?
Are you about transactions or about relationships?
