In a new poll, 15% of Americans said they believe between 1 and 5% of NCAA athletes are transgender. 14% think between it's between 6 and 25%. Meanwhile, an NCAA spokesperson confirmed that the current number is "effectively" zero thebulwark.com/p/new-poll-bu…

I've been following this, and it all stems from being a secondary tenant in a building. You see it with the PWHL as well (who also had a clinching game start in the afternoon, however at 5pm, not this early) The 'downside' of growth: not that many big arenas and they are shared
This is a terrible look for the WNBA -- and there is no way spin it. I realize all the potential solutions sucked but the prospect of crowning a champion on a Thursday afternoon is just brutal optics (and will be brutal television ratings.) If you are the league, you are praying for a G7.

Cole Caufield knows all about the @CanadiensMTL faithful! He talked with @EJHradek_NHL about his pride being a Canadien, scoring 50 goals and more. The Canadiens take on the @NHLBlackhawks tonight at 8 PM ET on NHL Network.

Turned on the Canucks game. It’s a travesty they play in jerseys that aren’t these ones.

People are going to compare Jacob Fowler to a young Carey Price but young Carey Price wasn’t this composed. Obviously Price got there (and Fowler has a way to go to even get close) but his start was very inconsistent.

I was skeptical but the aerial shots of the rink and design around it make it look outstanding.

This has aged well 😅
There’s something very fitting (and very, very positive) about Evans and Guhle stepping up in the first game without Suzuki. How does a team go from good to great? Buy in and leadership by an expanding core. Newhook established there last playoff. 71 and 21 get there? Hoo boy.

Jake Evans saw Nick Suzuki out of the lineup and just … decided to be Nick Suzuki.

Most Canadiens: “Playing outdoors takes me back to when I was a kid” Lane Hutson: “Playing outdoors takes me back to last year when I was locked out of the facility and needed to skate somewhere”

Nothing like a super literal walk in outfit 😅
Danault says the outfits, “Molson workers” were Nick Suzuki’s idea

Talent and development is one thing. But when your core takes ownership? That’s when you start taking the next step. Suzuki’s absence, as weird as it sounds, will force others to take ownership long-term.

The true impact of a leader isn’t leading by example. It’s having people follow your example even when you’re not there. When Marie-Philip Poulin was out of the lineup last year, the Victoire played like her. Late comebacks. Clutch. What happened after? A Walter Cup.

I truly don't care who wins the World Series this year. All I ask is that I can enjoy a series as good as last year's as a neutral.

How bad do things have to be if you're an American team that an American Olympian doesn't want to be traded to?

Why am I not full of doom with the Suzuki injury? Not sure... But I did just witness a Montreal hockey team win a championship without their award-winning captain and 1C out for weeks. That probably plays a factor.

This is why you have depth. Will things be harder without Nick Suzuki for about a month? Sure. Good teams overcome that. They'll need people to step up, and maybe this forces Kent Hughes to be a little more creative, but there's no reason to panic.
