Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

Weird stat: No team in college football history has defeated BYU a year after turning down a Pop-Tarts Bowl invite to play BYU the previous season

BYU does the unthinkable and takes down #2 Notre Dame in Provo.
Not really much you can do other than give a tip of the cap.
That’s a big win for the Cougars.
If both teams stay the course, you’ll have the highest-ranked Holy War ever on November 7th.
Some good football being played in the state of Utah.

Huge credit for USC going into a tough environment and playing arguably the cleanest road game of the Riley era.
Especially impressed with Maiava’s poise. And my god there’s just not enough you can say about Trent Mosley. When USC’s offense is clicking like this, Trojans win.

Investigators reportedly became suspicious after QB Marcel Reed’s $2.8 million NIL package was filed under the athletic department’s “agricultural equipment” budget.

BYU sits at #1, but it’s getting harder and harder to keep Utah behind them. Either way, these feel like the two most complete teams in the Big 12.
Texas Tech doesn’t seem as sharp and polished as 2025, but anyone dismissing or downplaying their potential should proceed with caution.
For those top three teams, it would be fair to rank them however you want.
After that, there’s some promising teams in Houston, Oklahoma State, and Kansas State. Still need to see more from these teams, but early indications are that these are some good football teams that can make a run at the Big 12.
Mountain Mama? Is that you? West Virginia just had its best win since…? The Mountaineers still have a lot to prove, but they did just surprise many with a win on the road against a ranked Virginia team. Rich Rodriguez is in season two, and appears to be taking a step forward with this program.
The Arizona schools will be dismissed by many, but not I. This feels like a tough ranking for them, but there’s not much else to do with them until the prove themselves.
Next, I’ve got a nod of respect for an Iowa State team that was decimated by coaching and roster changes. I know 10th doesn’t feel respectful, but this team picked to finish last by many. They do feel ahead of schedule, and we’ll learn a lot about exactly where they stand with Utah headed to Ames next.
After that, there’s a run of teams that have not looked impressive through the out of conference window… TCU is the only team I see as potentially climbing out of the lower rungs of the Big 12 ladder.
Colorado is bad. Really bad. And you have to wonder how much time they’re willing to wait on Deion, now that the flashy show is over.
