Just an older guy trying to make sense of it all. I'm not a parody, just weird. “Average polo-shirted old guy.”

I know, let the committee pick the 12, and let the computer seed them.

I'm old enough to remember Oregon 59, Florida State 20; Alabama 38, Michigan State 0; Clemson 31, Ohio State 0; Clemson 30, Notre Dame 3; LSU 63, Oklahoma 28. Those were playoff semis, with brand names getting smoked. Don't act like is the first time we've seen playoff blowouts.

Oct 4th is Henrietta Lacks Day in Virginia. A native of Roanoke, her cells were taken without consent in 1951 during cancer treatment and became the first to survive outside the human body. These "immortal" cells revolutionized medical research. Today, we honor her life & legacy.

Happy birthday Jack Givens! The Goose was golden in the 1978 NCAA title game, making 18 of 27 shots en route to pouring in 41 points in Kentucky's 94-88 win over Duke at The Checkerdome in St. Louis. The Lexington native finished his UK career as the school's third all-time leading scorer and one of just three players in school history to score 2,000+ points.

Pearl Jam took the stage for a special song that doesn't belong to their discography. The song was 'Mother', released by Pink Floyd in 1979 and it was in the band's ground-breaking concept and double album The Wall. This live performance took place live at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in 2011. What a great tribute and honor to perform this song, just incredible! #PearlJam #PinkFloyd
