Feels great to see myself getting noticed for my blog posts. Thanks @artisan_weekly
Rust Rust everywhere. Taylor's been tweeting about Laravel Omega, and the rumour mill is spinning - could it be a Rust-powered Laravel? While we wait for the big reveal, Edition 105 is packed with everything from AI-powered code generation to webhook architecture, WordPress migrations, and real-time presence tracking. Here's your ranked rundown of this week's top 10 Laravel picks.

Hi,
Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscriptions to new subscribers, but together with it we are also changing how we calculate the usage for it. In effect, if you do the math, it will net out at half the dollar in API spend compared to the old Pro $200 plan.
Now that it's said, let me explain why this is happening and why you will still get more work done than if you were on the Pro $200 subscription one month ago.
(a) We didn't want to compromise in other ways and are committing to not reintroducing the 5h limit, so that you can fully use the weekly usage when you want.
(b) On the subscription, we guarantee that over time you always get more work done and with an increasing level of quality. This means that you will continue to get more value per dollar spent as a result of models getting more efficient and us passing down the improvements in the form of API price reductions.
(c) We don't want to put an incentive on ourselves to artificially inflate the API list prices to make it look like you are getting a lot (and workaround it through discounts, etc). Instead we want to continue to both rapidly reduce prices and increase capabilities of models on the API. This week we introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna at 50% of their previous price. Over time, we see prices go low enough that it makes sense for most to buy usage as needed without there being a significant gap between what you get in a subscription and what you get in the API for a dollar spent.
(d) Tomorrow, we are adding more things to the subscription that won't draw on the usage, I won't reveal what that is yet.
I wanted to be transparent before all the big announcements tomorrow. Lots of new exciting things are coming to the subscriptions that will make it super compelling, but I wanted to make sure to share this change ahead of time so you can all understand it before we shower you with good news.
Codexingly,
Tibo
Has anyone figured out how to continue from mobile?

Absolutely brilliant and essential thinking here.
this is insane. i genuinely don't understand why ambitious people aren't shown this lecture before their careers start consuming their entire lives.
clayton christensen spent his career studying why successful companies collapse. in his final class, he asked students to apply the theory to themselves: if you keep allocating your time the same way, what life are you actually building?
he had already seen the answer in his own harvard mba class. everyone looked successful at the fifth reunion; by the 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th, many were unhappy, divorced, and living far from their children.
work shows you the score immediately. close a sale, ship a product, finish a presentation, earn a promotion, get paid.
an hour with your child may produce nothing you can measure today; it may take 20 years to understand what that hour built. so the next free hour goes back to work, one rational decision at a time.
this is how people build lives they never planned: through hundreds of right decisions that lead in the wrong direction, day after day.
money, titles, and headcount are easy to count. christensen believed a life should be measured by the people who became better because you were there.
he died in 2020.
one question remains: if someone saw only where your time, energy, and attention went this year, what would they think actually mattered to you?
the full 19-minute lecture is in the video below.
AI coding can make us faster without making the work healthier. This video hit home: “one more prompt” can become lost sleep, more pressure, and less joy in the craft. The goal isn’t maximum output. It’s sustainable, human-led work.

Been an early adopter of Double, and it’s been awesome watching @gonedark take it from livestream builds to an official release. If you work with PHP testing, check out his Test Driving Double stream:

mattpocock/skills v1.2 is out!
We're now the 19th most-starred repo of all time. 13.5m downloads on skills.sh. Thanks for your support!
Here's what's new:
- Docs: the community's biggest ask. Every skill documented, with explanations of the main flows + troubleshooting
- Claude Plugin: install via Claude's official marketplace
- Codex Support: full Codex support via agents/openai.yaml files
Updated Skills:
- /grilling now asks you questions in rounds, not one-by-one
- /prototype now uses HTML instead of a TUI for building logic prototypes - easier to share and far richer
- /writing-for-agents renamed from /writing-great-skills, use it for ANYTHING your agents read (AGENTS.md, system prompts, docs)
New Skills:
- /wizard: tired of provisioning infra? Get your agent to build you a TUI to walk you through it
- /to-questionnaire: hit a grilling question you can't answer? Turn the session into a doc you can walk through on a call with a colleague
- /wait-what: no idea what the model said? Refocus it in your domain language and simplify with ASD-STE100
Full changelog + docs below. Video soon!

blade (and @LaravelLivewire) fans, this one's for you
pint --blade
formats blade / html / php, and sorts @tailwindcss classes in your blade files
composer update & enjoy 🤌🏻
Jealous of all the attendees for @LaraconUS. Look forward to hearing about everything that gets discussed. Such a great developer community.
Do you want to learn how a LLM is written. I just did thanks to CJ from @syntaxfm youtu.be/YmLp8qe87A0?si=2k5K…
Good Laravel testing gotcha from this video:
$this->artisan() returns a PendingCommand. If you assign it to a variable, you can accidentally delay execution until after your assertions.
So the “cleaner” refactor can break the test.
For more in dept explanation watch this video that I learned from @jclermont

I keep seeing tech podcasts and YouTubers have SPONSORS.
I never considered it, but.. maybe your company wants to sponsor one of my channels?
I don't have official rates, but every video for Laravel/Filament/AI Coding Daily gets 1-10K views.

This looks badass. I’m going to have to test this out for myself.
Finally playing with Agentation, really awesome tool.
I'm very bullish on design tooling moving to the browser and augmenting your real UI.

Laravel AI SDK now supports sub-agents. 🤝
Return an agent from another agent’s tools() method and the parent agent can delegate focused tasks to it, just like any other tool.
Sub-agents can have their own instructions, tools, provider config, and isolated context.

The most dangerous thing you can do right now is NOT use the latest AI tools. Period.
Every day a new company is laying off thousands of people who don't know how to use the most modern AI tools
If I were in the 9-5 world right now, this is every step I'd take:
1. Download Codex and build your first app. Learn how to implement a front end and database. AI can teach you all of this
2. Download OpenClaw or Hermes agent. Tell the agent about your entire life. Career, goals, and ambitions. Ask it what workflows it can implement to get you closer to those goals
3. Get Claude Design. Keep an eye out on X for visual language and designs you like. Feed this inspiration into Claude Design and get comfortable designing beautiful interfaces
4. Get the ChatGPT Pro plan. Feed GPT 5.5 Pro your hardest problems. Burn as many tokens as humanly possible with this model
5. Constantly look at your limits in all your AI plans. If you're ever above 50% on your limits, get angry that you're not burning enough tokens.
6. Learn how to use Claude Code side by side with Codex. Learn both their strengths. These are the only 2 coding tools that matter. Master these and you're golden
If you do these 6 things you are in excellent position to not only be safe in your career, but also dominate those that don't pick up these skills.
