I'm beyond thrilled to announce that I have accepted a position as a Research Associate at the @YTICornell @cornellilr @Cornell
This is truly a dream come true for me! Here’s to many more years!
ARTICLE ALERT 🚨🚨 🚨
Check out my new article w/ Matt Saleh, "Estimating the intersecting labor market disparities for justice-impacted individuals with disabilities: Evidence from two United States national data sets” Link in comments. @ASADisability @cornellilr @YTICornell
This is a post about online dating—so if that’s not your thing, feel free to grab a quiet snack on your way out (borrowing that from a disabled creator I love).

But I can’t ignore that my disability adds another layer. Because of how visible it is, it often takes people time to see me—to get past the wheelchair, the movement, the things that feel unfamiliar at first.
And dating apps aren’t really built for that kind of time.
Hey Ya'll, I’m trying to find a journal that will take a very short quantitative paper on disability and occupational segregation. Do my soc or dis studies colleagues have any ideas?
.@ASAnews @ASADisability missed the deadline to request a remote presentation by 2 days and now I can’t present my own research that I have been working on for two years. This is incredibly ableist for an organization that claims to promote "access for all”. Do BETTER @ASAnews!
How hard is it for you all to say disability? Now the new thing is, "ably different”. Look up ably. It doesn’t mean what you all think it does. It’s basically saying sufficiently different, which doesn’t make any sense. Disability is NOT a bad word; why do you all think it is?

Academics will be like, “I’ve discovered this new guilty pleasure” and it’s just taking weekends off
Honored to receive NARRTC’s Best Research Paper Award for my article with @Sarahvons on remote work and disability, entitled “An Accommodation for Whom? Has the COVID-19 Pandemic Changed the Landscape of Flexible and Remote Work for Workers with Disabilities?"
Thanks for the RT @ASADisability

Tens of thousands of people with disabilities have stories similar to the one I shared in my #SSA Op-ed via @thehill ! Thank you to @cornellilr for writing a fabulous feature on my article! Please boost this. It's so important!

Check out my new Op-ed via @thehill on how Social Security claimed that I owe them $101,000 simply for working as a person with a #Disability. Big thanks to @YTICornell @cornellilr @jtyson21 and @Damien__Sharp for helping get my story out
