Just got off the phone with my twin bro Dr @HankirMohammed. We wished each other a happy birthday. We reflected on our journeys. Bro Mo & I were forced to leave our parents behind in Lebanon when we were 17 years old & return to the UK. Like me, Mo started off stacking shelves in a supermarket. People would laugh in our faces when we said our dream was to become doctors. Today, Dr Mohammed Hankir PhD is a leading neuroscientist and Assistant Professor in Biochemistry at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland & I’m a consultant psychiatrist in Canada & Honorary Visiting Professor in Cardiff University, UK.
